Corkscrew curly hair -- frightens small children... help? lol?

yeah i have curly hair.. its mixed texture (black and white) and needs tonnes of conditioner.. but i need a style for it. all i do is put it in a ponytail.. any creative ideas?

Corkscrew curly hair -- frightens small children... help? lol?

really

i wouldnt think it would be scarey

Naturally curly hair, want waves, using braids..?

okay so im using braids! but my hair is naturally CURLY.

so do i make the braids tight or loose

and how many

Naturally curly hair, want waves, using braids..?

I would make the braids tight and used several all around your head. Also make them different sizes so your waves look more natural - a couple of thinner braids near the face, fatter braids at the back.

Honestly, though, I found the best way to get waves is to blow dry the hair straight and set in hot rollers. Or straighten with an iron and use hot rollers. OR you can even use some irons to create waves after you've straightened.

Naturally curly hair, want waves, using braids..?

make them tight. i have curly hair to. only do maybe, 6 braids, depending on how thick your hair is.

Naturally curly hair, want waves, using braids..?

Make em' tight.

That way it won

Naturally curly hair, want waves, using braids..?

Try to use a LOT of conditioning, anti-frizz, leave-ins. Braids are quite nice, if you feel lazy putting hair in a messy bun leaves beautifully scrunched hair. You could try sleeping in rollers but its quite uncomfortable, and in my experience they are hard to put in.

Good luck!

Naturally curly hair, want waves, using braids..?

I just do two one on each side and make them tight and when my hair is dry in the morning take em out and they are wavy. But they get annoying because i don't like having poofs in my hair thats basically what it does no matter what you do.

Naturally curly hair, want waves, using braids..?

the minute you get out of the shower get a lil gel in your hair when its wet and them make two tite braids and sleep with it and the next morning you hair will be dry and take off the braids and your hair will be kinda straigh on the top and wavy on the booton but you should dif put some gel if you have realy curly hair only on its wet

Naturally curly hair, want waves, using braids..?

I would make them loose, but be careful, to much braiding can thin your hair or break it off bad on the sides.

I have naturally curly hair-should I straighten it? (men)?

I naturally have really curly hair. However, if I don't use lots of products, it just goes really frizzy and nasty. So sometimes I straighten it with my GHD's. They work so well my hair looks naturally straight. Do men prefer bouncy curls, or sleek straight hair?

I have naturally curly hair-should I straighten it? (men)?

I'm a girl so I really can't give you a mans opinion but I have the exact same hair type from what I can tell. My hair is really wavy so I used to straighten it. I used one of the top straighteners and heat safe cream. This worked great for a long time! But after about a year my hair got really brittle and began breaking easily. I decided that it wasn't worth it and began scrunching my hair. Here's what I do for soft natural looking curls. after a shower I gently squeeze my hair just enough that it stops dripping. I leave it alone for about 10 minutes (without brushing it)..I normally do my make-up in this time. After the time is up I gently brush my hair tilting my head from side to side depending on where I'm brushing so that I'm never brushing my hair flat to my head. I then run my fingers through my hair and scrunch it in my hands. then I use a dime size portion (my hair is a little below my shoulders) of "Beyond the Zone Noodle Head" ,which is a decently priced product available at beaty supply stores, on one side on my hair. Then another portion on the other side, and another on the back. I scrunch it into my hair evenly and then wait for my hair to dry. As its drying I scrunch it every now and then but its a pretty easy hair style and it really doesn't require much work. Once my hair is almost completely dry I run "Garnier Fructis Style XXL volume weightless Gel Strong" through the curls. The Goal is to smooth them not pull them straight. That's about it! I know it sounds like a lot of work but its really very easy. Also, for a looser curl try towl drying (by squeezing hair, not rubbing it) and applying the same Noodle Head product the same way as above. Hair-dry on medium/high heat with a diffuser

attached. Lift the hair gently with palm of hands as you dry

underneath. Let hair drop into diffuser as you dry it with head

tilted to the side you're drying. While drying hair, twist front

sections away from the face with your fingers. Finish by

gently scrunching hair with hands and using a light spray. I hope this helps!

I have naturally curly hair-should I straighten it? (men)?

if i were you i would suggest that you not worry what men prefer..just do your hair whatever way you like. your very fortunate to have curly hair that you can easily straighten...my hair is naturally straight but i wish it was curly so i could mix up my style from time to time.

I have naturally curly hair-should I straighten it? (men)?

If you a bloke , NO!

And stop being so silly!

Get it cut like any other normal bloke!

I have naturally curly hair-should I straighten it? (men)?

my husband likes curly hair

I have naturally curly hair-should I straighten it? (men)?

Keep it curly. Be what you are.

I have naturally curly hair-should I straighten it? (men)?

I have naturally curly hair-should I straighten it? (men)?

Personally i LOVE curly hair that bounces all the time, but then again the love of life has curly hair so I am probably biased.

Viva Los Rulos!!!

I have naturally curly hair-should I straighten it? (men)?

Hell no! A guy I used to work with had VERY curly hair, like a perm. He came to work with it straightened one day and he looked like a dodgy 70's glam rocker. Everyone laughed at him hysterically, you couldn't help it. Just go with what your mother gave you. You'll look much better. Be yourself!

I have naturally curly hair-should I straighten it? (men)?

The absolute best is a product called Silk Drops from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, etc. You'll love it!

I have naturally curly hair-should I straighten it? (men)?

Hey!!!im not the only one then!! i am a girl with really curly hair i am white tho my hair wud be like not quiet afro but really really tight curls, i found a hairdresser who does chemical straightning of hair and i have been getting it done for 3 years, each 4 months i needed a route re-touch and each time it was cost 鎷?50, its not the dosh but it was so straight that i ***** even put a curl in it and when my roots kept grow back it was really hard as its so curly so i had to always use my ghds on the re-grouth and a wee bit on the rest, as a result my hair is a wee bit broken but not 2 bad so i have been growing it out now for the past 7 months and i cant wait to have the choice of curls or straight again, i hope that it will be fully grown out by xmas so in the meantime i have to use my ghds for a half and hour every time i wash my hair and touch up in the mornings if i dont put my baseball cap on..lol... i wud say to u to enjoy ur curls and mayb just have it straight at the weekend, that is my plan anyhow... also i think curls look younger..if u want any more advice let me no and u can e-mail me.. good luck...

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

I have curly and poofy hair, but I want longer hair without the poof

and maybe if possible to make it flippy. I have very thick hair

so if you can help me!

Thanks!!!

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

I have very very curly hair myself! I usually get Tigi's Pin Straight serum and spray it on each piece of my hair before I straighten it. I have a Chi straightener which works fabulous! Between the two you should get great results! Just follow with some anti-frizz serum or pomade and finish up by flipping out the ends with a curling iron! Good luck! :)

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

read tips on hair straightening and more to help you on this site

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

use a straightener and use a curling brush

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

try very large velcro rollers..they will take out the curl..but add a bit of body...

also get you hair layered...subtly..it will help it fall better..especially since it's very thick....

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

GHD is the only way to go

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

I have found laying the hair, is better at controlling frizzy hair, also try the frizz ease, at walmart,, it is good, also a dry iron is good.

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

you have desicribed my hair to a point. okay first put a alchoal free moisturizer in it and get it baby pressed. the straightener/flat iron will do not much. its all about the hot comb!

the only thing is that the press wont work for long so then try putting a relaxer in it. a strong one.

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

go to a salon and you can get a japanese straight perm done.

i had poofy hair also so i had this done, and it worked great. it looked like the hair you see on tv for pantene. This lasted for me until my curly roots grew back.

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

Becareful what you ask for. I too had poofy curly hair and had Rusk anti Curl done a few days ago. I now have stick straight hair. If that is what you want, it works well, you just blow dry it and use one of those ceramic straightening tools. I only wanted to loosen my curl, but it it GONE, LONG GONE. P.S. $44 for rusk at salon.

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

If possible, you might want to get it chemically straightened. I straightened mine that way as well; it even dries straight after i shower. and it's been about three months since i had it done! or else, relaxers might be an option.

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

get a rebond done at a really good salon, then no more poffy hair, but remember once you do that there's no turning back untill your hair grows back or you perm it. maybe getting it relaxed wouldn't be a bad idea

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

i have the same kind of hair. :-) i use the Remington Wet2Straight and it is absolutely fabulous! I also use Paul Mitchell SuperSkinny Serum on it when it's still wet. you could also use a big roung metal barrel brush (they have great ones @ sally beauty supply) and a high wattage hair dryer. just divide your hair into sections and hold them up with a clip. dry one section at a time for best results. if you any questions please feel free to contact me. :-) good luck!

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

buy some straighteners

I have poofy curly hair, how can I straighten and make it flippy?

Defiantly consider the GHD's if your on a budget SMG Mondial have entry level straighteners and styling tongs starting at 鎷?0 !

Any cute hairstyles for curly hair?

Okay, my hair is extremely curly but not very frizzy. It's pretty hydrated and I've got layers and slanted bangs. It's a dark brown with some bronze highlights. I'm tired of wearing it in a ponytail or down everyday. Does anyone have some cute hairstyles meant for curly hair??

Any cute hairstyles for curly hair?

I too have curly hair and can sympathize with your plight. Mine's a natural curl, and rarely frizzy because I condition religiously. My stylist recently gave me what he called "long" layers in back so that my hair won't have that "triangle" shape at the shoulders that some of us end up with when we have our curls trimmed. This cut has enabled me to do a lot more with my hair. I sometimes stick a headband in it, sometimes I do the ponytail thing, sometimes I wear it half up and half down, sometimes I just pull a bit of hair from each side and clip that in the back....etc. Just keep experimenting, and try not to get too frustrated! Of course, everyone tells me that having curly hair is sooo cool, and it must be soo easy to style--just let it go curly! Whatever! haha

Any cute hairstyles for curly hair?

I think the main thing is to find a stylist that understands curly hair.

Then you can devise a style that fits your face and curl.

Heres a site you might check out:

good luck!

Any cute hairstyles for curly hair?

Buy some clips and pull your hair up how ever you want to. It makes your hair look fuller and it is cute.

Any cute hairstyles for curly hair?

try putting it in a single tight braid when its wet and sleep on it. then in the morning when you wake up, unbraid it and it should be wavy-ish. then put it in a loose braid.

Any cute hairstyles for curly hair?

i think you should put it in a hair tie or a braid

Any cute hairstyles for curly hair?

Straighten it or if you have tried that, then twist it back or just put a pretty barrett in that matches your eyes. Part it different that is what I do all the time. It works for me. Give it a shot and good luck!!!!

Any products for curly hair that won't leave it stiff or sticky?

My hair is very curly, jaw length. I use gel in it to hold the curl. I've also tried curl creams, hair spray, etc... Is there a product that will hold the curl without letting the friz take over but not put someones eye out with the stiffness? I like my hair to be soft.

Any products for curly hair that won't leave it stiff or sticky?

My mom has the curliest, frizziest hair EVER. And we FINALLY found the stuff that works. I mean it seriously shapes the curls perfectly and there is NO FRIZZ! You will need these thre products:

1)John Frieda frizz ease hair serum (x-tra strength)

2)TRESemme Bouncy curls defining gel (x-tra hold)

3)L'Oreal Studio tightly wouned curl boosting spray gel

After you shower towel dry %26amp; brush your hair straight

Take the serum (only use one or two squirts to avoid greasy hair) and rub it in

Then use the TRESemme gel

Then flip your head over and spray the L'Oreal stuff everywhere and scrunch it alot!

Then SLOWLY flip your head back over (i learned that from a hair stylist)

And let it dry! Good luck!

Any products for curly hair that won't leave it stiff or sticky?

john frieda frizz ease - its the best!!!

Any products for curly hair that won't leave it stiff or sticky?

I also have curly hair, so I know what its like. Definetly get the John Freida Frizz Ease. It worked really well. You can get it at your local pharmacy like CVS.

Any products for curly hair that won't leave it stiff or sticky?

i also hate using product on my curtly hair but redkin either anti snap or satin lotion is a good thing to try tames the curls with out weighing down or the greasy feeling i hate that so these work great! good luck btw you can get them at pretty much and hair supply store or salon

Any products for curly hair that won't leave it stiff or sticky?

curls rock amplifier by tigi. this stuff rocks. its a very strong hold for the curls and helps with the frizz, yet it leaves your hair super soft and moveable. no hard gel hold. its a blue pump container. you should be able to find thisstuff in your local salon. you are gonna love it so stock up!

Any products for curly hair that won't leave it stiff or sticky?

I like CurlsRock from Tigi. It smells great and holds the curls into soft shiny ringlets. Put it in when your hair is still very wet and be careful not to get too much or else it will be a little sticky in spots. It really works well if you put it in the blowdry with a diffuser while you scrunch it.

Any products for curly hair that won't leave it stiff or sticky?

frizz ease is the best. I have natural curly hair and it can become frizzy. with frizz ease i have soft curly hair, its great

Any products for curly hair that won't leave it stiff or sticky?

Use Aveda "Be Curly" and buy the Confixor (watery gel) with it. And follow directions (wash hair, and while damp, apply Be Curly, and then apply the Confixor on top of it). And let your hair air dry. Don't use a blow-drier..if you do use a diffuser with it. A lady at my work uses Sebastian products for her curly hair. If u dont want to spend the money on salon products just add a "soft hold" gel on top of yopur leave-in, it won't make your hair that stiff. But if you want soft, bouncy curls I recommend Aveda. it make my curls really soft but gave me a little too much volume but not frizz.

Any products for curly hair that won't leave it stiff or sticky?

Okay well I'm an avid reader of 17 magazine and in all their hair articles they have products for straight, curly, relaxed, wavy hair, etc. They've said curl creams are better than gel and sparys and the best way to use them is to work them into wet or damp hair and go from there. Two products I've heard that are really good are garnier fructis soft curl cream (doesnt leave hair crunchy) and for more of a splurge redken ringlets curl cream does the same thing. A must have for curly hair is a finger diffuser when drying.

Desperate curly hair advice??

Hiya, i have very curly, medium length hair, and am desperately wanting to get bangs, but am not wanting to straighten. Is it possible to get nice bangs without them looking silly? I've been told the only ones that look nice are side swept. Please help with suggestions, and include photos if possible!

Desperate curly hair advice??

yah of course!

it you get them just get the longer, like down to your nose, then just blow dry them straight with a brush so you dont have to straighten them.

Desperate curly hair advice??

my professional advice to u is that if u have such curly hair as u say do u, i wouldn't recommend that u get bangs if u're not going to straighten them.

Desperate curly hair advice??

side swept like taylor swift!!

shes awesome

shes the blonde holding the baby if you dont know

Desperate curly hair advice??

You can cut the length a bit around the face. I wouldn't suggest "bangs' though. You also want to use some mousse or anti-frizz product.

GOOD LUCK

me best answer please

Hair styles for big poofy curly hair?

I have the same kind of hair. It gets a little better if I grow it longer, cause the weight helps hold it down. But I have kids, and I like it short. So I found a good stylist who cut it layered and it's halfway down my neck. Easy length to do lots of things with barrettes and clips.

I use a clear no-frizz gel and it separates my hair into ringlets.

Hair styles for big poofy curly hair?

I too have curly hair. It's not KINKY curly, but it's spirally curly and a bit frizzy. Anyway, the last time I went to get a hair cut I went to Visible Changes and there was a KINKY curly haired girl working so I asked for her. Make sure that whomever cuts your hair has curly hair - they understand us better!! She worked WONDERS on my hair!! Find a stylist and have them thin out your hair, it is MUCH less "poofy" and big! When I looked on the ground there was hair EVERY WHERE! I don't know how I still had a full head of hair, but basically she razor cut it (make sure they have a SHARP razor or it will make ends frizzy) and thinned it out tremendously....now I love my curly hair!!

Hair styles for big poofy curly hair?

Don't thin it!!! ever the worst. Use frizz ease all the time after shampooing and conditioner. Buy a good straightener, make sure it is ceramic!! Only buy some of the best line of shampoo. Let it grow. Big poofy hair needs the weight not to be poofy anymore. Use the oil alone and see the difference! Now the heat straightener. Beautiful!! Now your make up and your ready to go!

Hair styles for big poofy curly hair?

Let it go au naturale. Or, you can pull part of it up in the front, leaving the rest out in the back. Or do ponytails, or elegant up-do's. There's a lot you can do with curls, if you have the time to play around. Look through magazines and experiment. Or go to your stylist sometime and ask her to play around with creating styles for you.

You can also buy a flat iron if you want to go straight some days. Don't skimp - get one that's around $150 or $200, it'll be worth the cost. Don't permanently straighten it - you don't want to ruin beautiful hair!

You can also just use a curling iron to tame curls and create a more wavy and pulled together appearance.

Diffusers are only useful in drying your hair. Necessary, to prevent frizz, but personally, I'd recommend not blow drying hair - let it dry by itself whenever you can. And never use a brush. Ever. Use a comb if you have to, but use it sparingly. Curly hair just poofs up when it's messed with too much, then you have to wash it and start over again. Use your fingers whenever you style, it'll keep the curls from separating and getting full of static.

Hair styles for big poofy curly hair?

you should put it up and make it cute and messy with clips on, and try to use a product to ease down the puffiness alot of mousse looks horrible!

good luck!

I have long curly hair but i want it to be REALLY short?

my hair grows really fast. last year in september i cut off 14 inches and donated it to locks of love and it was about chin length. i really liked it shorter and i want to cut it again (it's about 3 inches past my shoulders). i want it to be REALLY short, ideally like keira knightley's old haircut....but i'm pretty low maintenance and my hair is very curly. how would i straighten it easily? is it a bad idea unless i want to spend hours on my hair every day fighting back an afro?

I have long curly hair but i want it to be REALLY short?

How about not straightening it. And cut it if you want.

I have long curly hair but i want it to be REALLY short?

Its a very bad idea to keep straightening your hair because it burns and can damage hair. I'm not sure how much maintainance your hair needs (the pH level of hair varies from person to person) but if you cut it really short it will take a long time to control it. Short curly hair sticks out kind of like a halo sometimes. Long curly hair, however, is heavier so it weighs the hair down making it stick out less. Don't cut your hair.

I have long curly hair but i want it to be REALLY short?

if you do want that haircut, ask your stylist what you think first then he/she can give you the best advice really because they can see your hair firsthand.

btw...

if you hair is shorter then it wont take as long to style anyway.

Tired of ironing frizzy curly hair any recomendations japanese straightening or extenso loreal expla

Tired of ironing frizzy curly hair any recomendations japanese straightening or extenso loreal explain plz?

Hi Celine,

I閳ユ獫e never heard of xtenso, but the 2 hot hair treatments in NYC are the Japanese and Brazilian straightening treatments. I閳ユ獫e read that the Brazilian treatment is very dangerous because the amount of formaldehyde. There are so many places in Manhattan that you can get the Japanese treatment. Typically it is $300-600 USD, but my friend found a place in Queens for less than $200! Of course it is damaging, because you are putting chemicals on your hair. However it looks sooo shiny and healthy once you get it done. I閳ユ獡 sure there are so many places to get it done in Toronto in the downtown Queens St West? area.

Tired of ironing frizzy curly hair any recomendations japanese straightening or extenso loreal explain plz?

For straightening hair at home, you can use a hair iron and a straightening shampoo will also help. If you wish to straighten for a longer time, you can undergo Japanese hair straightening. I found this website useful - http://hcr.in/straighten.html

Curly haired girls... I want my hair to spiral more, what do you do..without perming it?

I am biracial and I have curly hair but I want them to be more defined. A good example of how I want it is like Christina Milian or Mya's hair.

Curly haired girls... I want my hair to spiral more, what do you do..without perming it?

go and buy a product called "loose locks" by sebastian. depending on the thickness of your hair if its thick use more eg a 50c piece. work it through the mid lengths to ends, put a little bit of moose this is done when your hair is wet. and use a difuser tilt your head and move the difuser up and down. if its not curly enough, after u put your products in get tiny sections of your hair and twist it till it gets fairly tight, do this with all your hair then difuse it till its nearly dry.

hope i have not confussed u

Curly haired girls... I want my hair to spiral more, what do you do..without perming it?

the best thing to do for sure is shower right before styling your hair.

Second - use some gel. like a thin flexible hold. It will make your hair curl really nicely :)

Curly haired girls... I want my hair to spiral more, what do you do..without perming it?

I use Jessi Curl products and they are amazing. Go to the website at www.jessicurl.com and watch the video on tips to make your curls more defined.

Curly haired girls... I want my hair to spiral more, what do you do..without perming it?

I found that I had to start with a really good haircut.

As for styling, I love Dove styling cream. It is inexpensive and works really well.

Curly haired girls... I want my hair to spiral more, what do you do..without perming it?

Use good products from Viable Changes and get a good humidifier that hooks on to your blow drier and blow-dry hair slow. And keep in mind that your hair may not be meant to curl like that. Good luck!!!!

Curly haired girls... I want my hair to spiral more, what do you do..without perming it?

after you wash your hair run a comb through it... other than that dont brush it... this should help seperate the curls.. you could also use a curling shamoo like umberto giannini curl friends

Curly haired girls... I want my hair to spiral more, what do you do..without perming it?

shampoo first your hair then apply hair mouse to accentuate the curl.

Curly haired girls... I want my hair to spiral more, what do you do..without perming it?

Use hair rollers like I do. I have head full of spiral curls and I roll up my hair nightly to acheive it.

What salons do black women with curly hair go to in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago?

I'm a black female who resides in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, and I'm looking for a hairstyle change. The natural texture of my hair is a combination of curly and wavy.

I have not had chemicals in my hair for over 10 years, and I'm trying to decide if I should get a relaxer, just a deep conditioner, or other. I'm making a few lifestyle changes, and my hair regime will be a part of that. I usually just wash, dry, slap a little gel on it to keep the curls down, and throw it in a ponytail.

If you are a black female in my area, where do you get your hair done, and how do you care for your hair? What style do you have? Many people tell me all I need is a deep conditioner, which I've never had. I usually just shampoo and condition at home.

In the past when I've had relaxers, they were very mild, and my hair rarely held any curls made with rollers or curling irons. It tends to poof easily which is why I use hair gel to keep it down now. Thanks

What salons do black women with curly hair go to in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago?

Even though this salon is a bit expensive, I would suggest going to any Aveda salon. The people at Aveda has an extensive knowledge about all hair types. I'm a natural also and I absolutely love them. See if there is one in your area.

What salons do black women with curly hair go to in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago?

I am a guy of black/white descent (the brown variety lol) and was wondering if there are any good products on the market that would make my naturally curly hair (small curls), curlier? or even wavy? Wetting my hair and smoothing it back usually brings up my curls nicely. However, i want something better and more consistent now. Thanks in advance.

How do i make my curly hair, curlier? (I am of black/white descent)?

Try the Blended Beauty line, which I found searching online. It's intended for people with multi-ethnic hair. Also, Mixed Chicks seems like it may be good for you. Try searching the Curlmart.com or Curl2Curl.com to find products designed for your specific hair texture. Is your hair fine, thick, coarse? You can contact the website people to help you find something that suits your hair texture. i hope this helps.

I have curly hair also. But to keep my hair from the frizz, the ugly tangles and the lack of shine I use His Mix to get the look that I want. You can only find His Mix on mixedchicks.com.I used both the His Mix shampoo and the His Mix leave in conditioner.

um... i hate to say this, but you could try getting a guy perm or using the curling sprays and such that you can find in a convienient store... usually, garnier products are good.

or... you could try small rollers and using a tiny iron

How do i make my curly hair, curlier? (I am of black/white descent)?

Have someone braid or platt your hair and leave it in overnight. You will need a scarf(sorry if it is girli-girl).My nieces and nephews are all bi-ricial.When they want the curl, they will braid each other's hair.Nice way to save money.

How do i make my curly hair, curlier? (I am of black/white descent)?

Carol's Daughter products. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt use it on their Ethiopian daughter's hair, which is curly like someone from your background. I already knew about the product as my family is of mixed heritage and we have an odd assortment of curly-textured hair. Also, my neighbor uses it on her black/Asian daughter with curly hair and she loves it. It's not cheap, but worth every penny. Jada Pinkett also uses it. Really search around for the best product for you. They've got a huge selection.

How do i make my curly hair, curlier? (I am of black/white descent)?

you can try the curling gels, they curl the hair, and also hold them for long.

How do i make my curly hair, curlier? (I am of black/white descent)?

Have you ever tried a Denman brush. They are good strong brushes to use when you are in the shower. Wash your hair no-poo style (using conditioner only, not oil stripping shampoo-conditioner CAN get it clean enough, while leaving it smooth and soft). While its wet in the shower brush it in the style you want. You can shake and let air dry, if your hair is long enough. Or slightly pat dry, adding come gel while its still kind of drippy wet and air dry. Denman helps curls "pop" from my natural texture, which is thick kinky, so it should really bring out the natural curls in your hair easier. Denman is a good brand and can be found at Sally's beauty supply, or other high quality supplier. The trick I find for keeping my curly style is to let it air dry and don't touch it afterwards. Let it "set" on its own, the more you handle it, it can mess up and you'll have to wet again to start from scratch.

"Bold" color on curly hair?

When I had straight hair I dyed it "bold" colors several times. [Bold as in, green, blue, purple etc.] I recently got a perm, and it completely changed the texture of my hair. I was wondering if "bold" colors look good on curly hair. What do you think? Can you share any pictures?

"Bold" color on curly hair?

I really don't think it would look that great. Curly hair imo looks best with brown hair. I don't even really like highlights in curly hair.

Extremely sensitive and curly hair, what's the best way to straighten it?

yeah, I have really curly hair and what's worse is that I'm black and that makes it even harder to manage. Also, its insanely sensitive, and when I got it relaxed years ago, it went from reaching the middle of my back to barely grazing my shoulders.

I own a hair straightener. the sedu, but it takes 1 to 2 hours to straighten my hair and I'm starting to worry about split ends and breakage.

Are there any easier and less time consuming options?

Extremely sensitive and curly hair, what's the best way to straighten it?

I have really curly hair and i have gotten Japanese Hair straigtening done. Its better on your hair than a relaxer, however it is expensive and you cant go back to curly hair unless you grow out your roots.Good luck!

Extremely sensitive and curly hair, what's the best way to straighten it?

have you tried wrapping your hair? that's a good way to avoid split ends/breakage. wraps last a while as well so you can take the 1-2 hours straightening it and at night wrap it then you`ll be fine the next day.

Extremely sensitive and curly hair, what's the best way to straighten it?

tight pony and wet straightner

Extremely sensitive and curly hair, what's the best way to straighten it?

Getting Curly Hair?!?

How can I get curly hair like the girl on the right in this picture:

http://photos-942.ll.facebook.com/photos...

Thank you!

Getting Curly Hair?!?

first of all... you can tell she curled it. probably with curlers.

so that's what you can do ;]

Getting Curly Hair?!?

use a curly iron.

Getting Curly Hair?!?

curl it with a big barrel curling iron after you blowdry it then spray it with holding hairspray

Getting Curly Hair?!?

I think that girl has curly hair because it comes naturally.

Getting Curly Hair?!?

her hair is not naturally like that from the photo its from a curling iron i suggest buying one and practicing it wont come out like that unless you pratice a lot oh and use something to protect your hair from heat usually comes out smoother

Getting Curly Hair?!?

well one way i know is to use a curling iron. Or if you want it curlier, u can wash it, put mousse and hair glosser then you can blow dry it.

Getting Curly Hair?!?

curl it

wit a curling iron

Getting Curly Hair?!?

get a thick hair curler, but dont curl all of your hair. just the top half and mousse or gel with hairspray to make it stay for a while

Getting Curly Hair?!?

u need a large barrel curling iron, and u have to section it off correctly..also u have to hold it with hairspray

Getting Curly Hair?!?

Use a curling iron, she probibly curled it. Then put get in it, or just put your hair in a braid and leave it in for a night, It should become wavy. Besisdes, your hair is probibly fine just the way it is. But curly hair like that would be pretty.

I have naturally curly hair. I don't want it straight or moussed, just wavy. Any suggestions?

My hair literally expands like a pyramid when it's dry. I've tried almost all the products out there, and nothing has worked for my hair. Just straightening my hair takes about 3 hours (too long!!!) and I just want it to be wavy and something that I can comb through, not curly and moussed. Suggestions, anyone?

I have naturally curly hair. I don't want it straight or moussed, just wavy. Any suggestions?

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Why don't you accept your hair as curly? Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (read more about this at one of the websites) . Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.

- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Aussie Moist Conditioner. The combo of products that I use daily is Garnier Fuctis Sleek and Shine Leave In Cream, Tressemme Clean Hold Gel, and Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!

I have naturally curly hair. I don't want it straight or moussed, just wavy. Any suggestions?

Try braiding it while its still wet and letting it down when dry. I think this will work.

I have naturally curly hair. I don't want it straight or moussed, just wavy. Any suggestions?

i have almost the same problem!! when you wash it use the matrix shampoo and conditioner (it smell really good and gets rid of virtually all frizz!) and then when you get outta the shower french braid it and sleep on it like that. in the morning take it out and it will be REALLY WAVY, yet smooth and tangle free! good luck!!

I have naturally curly hair. I don't want it straight or moussed, just wavy. Any suggestions?

I have naturally curly hair too, what i do is wash and while it is still wet french braid it and sleep on it. In the morning when you wake up it should be really wavy. It works for me.

I have naturally curly hair. I don't want it straight or moussed, just wavy. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem also and i agree with braiding your hair and going to sleep on it, that works really well. Or you could try getting a hair product with sea salt in it (john freida makes one) and you put a frizz ease in your hair than use the sea salt product and it works good, but i think it also depends on how curly your hair is, but you could try it out, it worked for me.

I have naturally curly hair. I don't want it straight or moussed, just wavy. Any suggestions?

I have naturally curly hair too and what I do after I shampoo and condition is, while my hair is still wet, I put some Softee hair food or some sort of leave in conditioner. I either French braid it or a simple braid until it dries. It comes out wavy, shiny, and smooth. I use a comb and braid it every night so in the morning I just brush and go.

I have very curly hair. When I straighten it sometimes get fuzzy. Have any good products I should tr

I have medium lenght hair and i straighten it usually. But if I go outside and it is humid then my hair gets fuzzy, curly, or wavy. I need some prodct ideas to keep m hair straight even when it is humid outside.

I have very curly hair. When I straighten it sometimes get fuzzy. Have any good products I should try??

just get a product called the maxiglide. it's a straightening plate w/ pins througout. go to amazon.com, ulta.com, or maxiusbeauty.tv to order one.

I have very curly hair. When I straighten it sometimes get fuzzy. Have any good products I should try??

Use biosilk before you straighten it. It is kind of expensive, but well worth it. It lasts for a VERRRY Long time, and it works great. you only need to use about nickel to quarter size drop, depending on thickness of your hair. Good luck!

I have very curly hair. When I straighten it sometimes get fuzzy. Have any good products I should try??

Hey There.. :)

I have the same kind of hair as you do, my hair gets really frizzy and wavy and i hate it.. lol

but, i use this hair stuff by loreal thats from the studio line called hot straight and it works really well.

Just use it right before you straighten your hair and it will keep it straight and you wont have to many frizzies.

I also like to use Biosilk, its a little expensive but it makes your hair look gorgeous.

Long curly hair help me please?

I have long dark curly hair down half my back, maybe a lil shorter, but when it dries it never seems to not frizz, nothing i have tried has helped. im out of ideas, can anyone help me?

Long curly hair help me please?

First of all don't use anything store bought on your hair, it will only dry your hair out more than it is. Plus the wax they put in thier products will eventually build up and start breaking your hair off. Try the smooth down line in Redkin. And also try to get your hands on a good defuser. It will help your hair from frizzing while you blowdry it. Good luck

Long curly hair help me please?

FRIZZ EASE

Long curly hair help me please?

use an oil based product like CHI silk infusion or biosilk. if you use gel or hairspray the alcohol in it will dry your hair more.

Long curly hair help me please?

i am a stylist and i read your dilema and i suggest you get a permanent wave to keep the curls more in order and in shape

Long curly hair help me please?

I am a stylist I can help you if you live in Houston Tx.

Long curly hair help me please?

For my curly hair I use Pantene Resoratives Time Renewal Replenishing mask. This stuff works great for curly hair. I also use biosilk and a defusser (dont use your fingers while drying your hair) after I am done drying my hair i put a small amount of the biosilk just to make sure it doesnt frizz. Also olive oil works great to. Its cheaper than the biosilk. A little goes a long way with the oilve oil.

Shampoo that encourages curly hair?

My hair has natural curls, but they fall out very quickly when I brush my hair. I want to use a shampoo and conditioner that will help my hair to be curly. I've tried the John Frieda Frizz-ease curl around shampoo and conditioner, but doesn閳ユ獩 seem to help that much. Has anyone had success with other brands?

Shampoo that encourages curly hair?

Redken Fresh Curls shampoo and conditioner. After you shampoo use Redken Ringlet and let it air dry or use a diffuser. NEVER brush curly hair. That will make your hair frizzy and it will take the curl out. Only comb your hair when it's wet and don't touch it again after it's dry. Using these products will help define your curls and make them stay in all day. The Ringlet will define curls and make it soft and shiny. It doesn't get stiff or sticky.

Shampoo that encourages curly hair?

DO NOT brush your hair when it is curly! you should never ever ever do that!!! that's the biggest mistake of life

Do you have curly hair?

Alright so I wanna try something different. I heard that if you braid your curly hair when it's wet %26amp; sleep like that overnight, the next day your curls will come out pretty. Does that actually work?

I have type "3A" curls, and my hair is pretty thick.

http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types

Do you have curly hair?

Well i have 3b- 3c hair and yes, if you braid your hair before you got to sleep (but you need to wash it first %26amp; then braid it %26amp; sleep on it) and it works.

Do you have curly hair?

well it depends....this will answer all your questions

*if your going to curl it you will need hair spray!!!

http://www.wikihow.com/Scrunch-Hair

Do you have curly hair?

If you braid your hair when it's wet, it only comes out wavy.

Which is pretty, since it's all uniform and whatnot, but it won't be curly.

Do you have curly hair?

After you've washed your hair get plates done in you hair and sleep with them in overnight then it should work i used to do it all the time it worked for me

hope that helped you

Do you have curly hair?

if you braid your hair and let it dry. it may come out frizzy and more of a crimp in the morning. if your looking for gorgeous curls try scrunching or if you have lots of time use a curling iron and spray it with hair spray while on the iron. Or go get a perm it may be expensive but you wouldnt have to put any time or effort into it for a while

Do you have curly hair?

You Should Try it Anyways But Put Mousse in You Hair Like HerbalEssence Totally Twisted Mousee and Then Braid it and see what You Results Are.

But Try It on Your Freetime Just Incase if You Dont Like The End results.

Do you have curly hair?

Yes it does work! That is about the same as my hair. I wash it at night, then put a serum in it. I braid it and in the morning it is manageable and pretty!

Do you have curly hair?

yes it works well.

i do that a lot and if your hair is dry in the morning and you take out the braids, you wont have much frizz and you hair will be nice and smooth.

hope i helped! =]

Do you have curly hair?

i have curly hair just like yours. when i braid my hair(i always do it in 2 french braids) and sleep on it, it comes out more crimped than curly. you have to be careful taking out the braids though. if you comb your fingers though your hair or anything like that, your hair will be frizzy and poofy. but its a very pretty style and i always get compliments when i wear my hair like that :)

Do you have curly hair?

I have 3A hair as well.....

I find that braiding it when it's wet leaves me with nice waves... but the hair closest to the scalp gets pulled tight when you braid it and that part of my hair looks REALLY WRONG after I've tried doing it.

Unfortunately, there is no way to correct this without washing and drying again.

Here are some things I like to do:

- Straighten it with a straightener

- Use a leave in Conditioner, blow dry it and then use a curling iron to curl my entire head... run your fingers throught it, add a shine spray and people will go gaga over it!!!

- Scrunch Gel into it while it's soaking wet, flip my head upside-down and dry it with a difusser.

The braid thing just doesn't work. Sorry :)

Do you have curly hair?

I have 3A curls and when I bread mine when its wet it comes out more wavy than curly which i like because its a change!

Super curly hair....?

I have really curly hair and i was wondering how long it would stay straight if i got it done at a salon...and how it would look...ive been thinking about doing this for a while but i would like some feedback please :) I have tried straightening it at home but it takes almost two hours to get it to look right.

Super curly hair....?

about 3 moths so i would buy a straightener as well if you get a japaneese thermal it will last longer. Maybee buy a straightener that works on wet hair it might be eiser

Super curly hair....?

why dont you insert a picture and we can see what we can do :]

Super curly hair....?

yup i have the same problem,i recently started straightening my hair too and it takes forever,my hair is like carries from sex and the city when she wore it really long and curly...i hate it and other people love it ,i get compliments everywhere i go on my hair when it's down and curly so i just leave it now,or throw up in a ponytail,it's heavy and causes headaches,i love to dye it and i have had dreads before as well, but i find the best thing to do is nothing but wash and condition it...people with curls want straight and straight wants curls????

Curly light brown hair with blue highlights?

Hey. Just today I got my curly hair done, and added blue highlights. The hairdresser put them in permenant, and she said they wouldn't wear off for a while. At first I didn't mind, but now I notice that they're brighter than I like, and kinda clash with the brown. Any advice?

Curly light brown hair with blue highlights?

blue and brown go horribly together

sounds hideous, sorry

Curly light brown hair with blue highlights?

if u wanna cover the blue with a diffrent shade use this thing called girl crush

Curly light brown hair with blue highlights?

Even profesional dyed hair colors like blue or pink fade a little. They won't were off, just won't be as bright as the day you got it done. Don't worry about it. It always takes a little while to get used to a wild color. I doesn't sound that bad to me, usually brown and blue go pretty good together. If you decide you really don't like it you can always re-dye it brown.

Curly light brown hair with blue highlights?

Don't do it again? Shave off all you hair? No, I'm just kidding:)

I guess next time you know not to do it.

Curly light brown hair with blue highlights?

sounds gross. sorry

Really curly hair!?

So I have really curly hair and I absolutley hate it. Ans I can't straighten it because it will friz. I need hairstyles that are cut but easy.

Really curly hair!?

you can get your hair relaxed,

to get rid of some curl if not all of it,

relaxing hair is for all people.

also the longer your hair the less body it will have, gravity helps pull them down

Really curly hair!?

-Read the book and visit the site below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.

- I really like the garnier fructis products. Aussie products works great too, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the website. Frizz-ease hair serum is amazing for fighting frizz. The book talks about cutting curly hair too.

- This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least the website. Hope this helps!

Really curly hair!?

okay the longer your hair is the less frizzy it gets. try using a leave in conditioner, moose and hairspray

Really curly hair!?

I have a list of good and fresh hairstyle websites.

Wavy/Curly Hair???

I have really straight hair. What's the best way to make it curly or wavy without using a curling iron???

Wavy/Curly Hair???

Well, there are a few things:

1. Use rollers--there are many kinds

a. Sponge rollers-roll them wet and use a blow drier or let dry overnight.

b. Velcro rollers-come in all sorts of sizes. roll your hair damp in these, then air dry or use a drier.

c. Hot rollers-roll your hair dry in these, then let cool

d. Steam rollers-same as above

You could also get a perm if you want the curls permanently.

Temporary, out of the above choices, I would use Velcro or hot rollers-the curl is easier to control in my opinion and the hair does not get smushed or frizzy.

Wavy/Curly Hair???

Perm,

At the store there is shampoo but it's a hassle!

Wavy/Curly Hair???

Maybe you can try using curlers or maybe consider getting a perm.

Wavy/Curly Hair???

When it's wet, braid it or put it into a bun. It makes pretty waves that last for a day or so. I do it all the time and then blow dry them.

Wavy/Curly Hair???

take a shower right before going to sleep then without blow drying (by drying it with a towel) dry your hair but not extremly dry. then braid a tight braid, i usually just do one braid then go to sleep. in the morning when you unbraid your hair it should be wavy and sorta wet. dont wait for it to dry or anything just simply spray some- alot of hairs spray depending on how much you usuallly spray.

Wavy/Curly Hair???

welll, I hope this helps even if it is crimped.

1. first take a shower (night)

2. then when still wet down into two really tight braids

3. keep them in still morning and hair spray

another way....

1. take a shoower

2. when still wet scrunch it with your hands and keep adding hairspray.

3. ta-da

Wavy/Curly Hair???

you should wet or wash your hair, put styling lotion in it, and braid it up or twist it into many or just a few sections depending on how much curl/wave you want. braiding it makes a wave pattern, and twisting it makes more of a curl. if it takes a long time for your hair type to curl and hold the pattern, then after you sit under a blow dryer you might want to keep it braided/twisted for a whole day or two if you have the time. otherwise, sit under a dryer and keep it braided overnight, and when you unbraid it in the morning it should have a nice wave pattern.

Wavy/Curly Hair???

I have really straight hair and what i do to make it curly is I got my hair layed but you dont have to do that it just helps then in the morning or when you want it curly get it wet and brush it where ther is no knots and put moose in and scrunch you hair with your hands

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

Im asking because Im Black but I have naturally curly hair. My mom and dad and brother dont have curly hair. But my moms sister does. Im brown tone skin, but not dark because I took my skin tone from my dads mom. And of course I know im mixed with some of everything because all my family was raised in the U.S. PLEASE HELP BECAUSE IM CURIOUS. THANKS!

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

If your mom's sister does, maybe you got it from her.

Genes are a funny thing. You can pull from anyone in your family. My grandmother is spanish and black, my grandfather is black. Though my dad is100% black, and my mom, well, aside from having some type of mixture due to my grandma, she's black... So I am in essense balck. You can, however, see my grandmothers quality in my hair. Not that it's necessarly mixed up or like theirs, but in that it's fine and full of body. Not all of my cousins have this type of hair...though they have the length. So I attribute my nicer grade to my grandma.

Myhusband is black and has light eyes. Neither of our kids have his eyes, but somewhere down the line, I'm sure they'll reappear....hopefully our grandkids (smile). Genes, they are a funny thing!

Have fun in your discovery!

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

You might have a parent who is very mixed. Both of my parents are mixed my mom`s father is 75% indian and he is 25% black and white. Her mom is mixed too. Both of my parents only call themselves black. Its hard to know how i got my curly hair. Report It

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

no..not necessarily

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

no, I have natural curly hair......

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

Well, considering we are all "mixed", and there are no pure bred humans anymore, it could mean that you have the curly hair gene.

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

Hi I have always wondered this myself. I have very curly hair and so does my daughter and son. I am Italian and Irish. I think a lot of Irish people have curly hair. But sometimes i think I must have some african american in me to have curly hair.

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

NO

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

Everyone is mixed. You may have some italian or spanish in your family somewhere. Check your family tree, it will help.

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

not really

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

Guess what, I'm the Celtic type, all pinkish and whitish and freckles, and my hair is curly!

If you have naturally curly hair, does it mean that you are mixed.?

no you just have the recessive gene for curly hair. curly hair is a uni versal thing, it doesnt matter if your mixed or not

Shampoo/Conditioner for Male Curly Hair?

I've curly hair that frizzes up a lot thats also a little thinner then it used to be. Currently i use no-poo but i don't have a conditioner. I'm told that I should get a conditioner stat. Any suggestions for a shampoo/conditioner package for curly hair? Anyone use no-poo with a specific conditioner? Thanks.

Shampoo/Conditioner for Male Curly Hair?

I know my dad uses Garnier Fructis and that has helped him tons. Plus he likes that while it has a scent, he doesn't smell fruity and girly all day.

I have unmaneageable curly hair and it falls off!!!?

im a guy

and i have curly hair

its frizzy

and long(to my shoulders)

and dry!

and when i wash it, ALOT of it comes off

what do i do!!! as im losing alot of hair and i think im going bald

im only 18 yrs old!

how can i get new healthy hair back???

is there a way??? PLEASE HELLLP!!!

I have unmaneageable curly hair and it falls off!!!?

I think you should just make sure you comb your hair each day and visit the hairdressers more often.

I wouldn't freak out about hair falling out as my hair stairs to fall out when I approach my once a month visit to the hairdressers. Then afterwards my hair is fine and manageable once more.

You might consider putting in a leave in conditioner treatment once a week, probably on a weekend as it can make your hair oily and that will help nourish your hair.

You might also go to a specialty hair product store (such as hairhouse warehouse) and ask a salesperson what the best kind of shampoo and conditioner is for your hair.

There is also the remote chance that your hair could be coming out because you are stressed, and if you are, calm down for the sake of your hair.

I have unmaneageable curly hair and it falls off!!!?

-Garnier Fructis Curl and Shine is designed for curly or wavy hair, which offers moisture and shine.

-Deep conditon once a week.

-Buy a a leave in conditioner to moisturize your hair all day long and help you with frizz.

-Buy a hot oil treatment to smooth out your frizz.

-Wash hair 3 times a week.

-Avoid combing hair while wet, use a wide tooth comb.

I have unmaneageable curly hair and it falls off!!!?

It sounds more to me like your hair is breaking off not falling out. First of all, never brush it when it is dry. In fact, if you have to brush it, do not use a regular hair brush, ( one with bristles). Use what some people call a styling brush or blow dry brush, or a wide tooth comb or pick. If your hair is all one length, get a layered haircut. This will cut off the old dry strands that are tired and worn out and make your hair smoother, softer, and more manageable. Make sure the shampoo and conditioner you use has no alcohol, alcohol products, ammonia, or ammonia products in it. Check the ingredient label and only use products with the words sodium in the list. Start there. Try it for a couple weeks and if it doesn't help, you might just have to keep your hair cut short. Oh and never wash your hair in hot water. Hot water opens the cuticle of your hair and makes it feel rough and porous. Only wash in warm water. Just warm enough to be comfortable. Hot water doesn't help the cleansing process, shampoo is made to interact chemically with water to make your hair clean. Good Luck!

I have unmaneageable curly hair and it falls off!!!?

hey dude i also have long curly hair and it always falls off when i shower !! i hate that ****. i think its because we mighj use the wrong kind of shampoo, try using some natural shampoo like chamolline or how ever u spell that,,, well im going to try that, thats what my mommy told me to do im also 19:)

I have naturally curly hair. what will a texturizer do to it? is there any permanent fix besides a r

I haven't had any chemicals in ym hair. i do get my hair CHI ironed, but it cost me $120 each time becuase I have long, curly, thick hair.

I have naturally curly hair. what will a texturizer do to it? is there any permanent fix besides a relaxer?

First i will say BUY A CHI OF UR OWN! trust me it's worth the cost which actually is about as much as ur paying to get it straightened once. Second i have thick curly hair to and i straighten it every other day and i have put chemicals in it and let me tell u dnt do it it will damage ur hair forever. Ive had so many treatments to fix some of the damage and its starting to work. But i will tell u a texturizer will add so much wax and unneeded texture to hair like yours. Don't use it. And no i dnt thk there is a permanent fix b/c ive tried chemically straightening it doesn't work and pretty much everything in the else in the book there is to try. So dnt use a texturizer and BUY A CHI!

I have naturally curly hair. what will a texturizer do to it? is there any permanent fix besides a relaxer?

I definitely think that you need to buy your own chi iron in the long run it will save you money as for texturizers. you can use a texturizer but if you do you have to understand that you must keep your hair conditioned. a texturizer loosens the curls in your hair but doesnt completely straighten them like a relaxer if you are interested in texturizers i recommend you go to this website listed under my sources. it is a great resource that can be used just go there and check under the texturizer forum

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

I have naturally curly hair that is not uniform, therefore it looks frizzy in front, wavy in back. So would you, a.) Grow it long to weigh it down, as I've done, or 2.) Cut it short to show more curls and work with them?

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

I had natural curly hair...until I went and had it cut short for the summer...now...I have to keep it short (like my avatar) because I don't have any curl left, just lots and lots of "waves"...and I was told by the lady that does my hair that is one reason why I have to many cow licks (besides them being hereditary)....Stay with your long hair

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

Try to be happy with what God has given you and not use chemicals on your scalp or hair. I love natural hair. Its far better. Bless Report It

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

Basically switch up your technique. This forum assist with all kinds of curly headed folks and it is one of the best resource:

www.naturallycurly.com

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

BALD. no worries there

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

you can either get a straight perm or a curly one if you want the entire thing curly. and uhm straight comb and all types of things!

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

a.

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

Cut is short. Curly hair that is long looks frizzy and nasty.

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

Hffff. How would like like it if your hair was all perfectly waved on one side, sticking out in a frizzy mess on the other, and flat on top? That's what curling irons are for.

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

i'd say either or you could straighten it

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

if you want the curls and like the good ones...cut it short also, go to aveda.com and check out the "be curly" I love it, it is a lotion and doesn't make my hair feel like straw and no frizz....try it before you chop it off and then if you still don't like 'em use it after the cut....good luck

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

i used to have hair like that, so i was on vacation in china when i decided to get my hair permed. amazingly, my hair's been straight ever since, and it's been years.

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

you can always just blowdry/flatiron it straight, but if you dont dont forget to put something in your hair to protect it from the heat. does your hair look evenly curly after you get out of the shower? try this:

after you get out of the shower spray your hair with a spritz or put gel in it. not enough to make it stiff but enough to hold the curls together. do not tie it back just leave your hair down and let it dry on its own. do not comb your hair once its dry. that would just make it frizzy.

then before you go out put some frizz ease in it or garnier fructice smoothing milk. i tried this yesterday and it worked for me. after all these years of blowdrying i got lazy.

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

mine is naturally cury and i had the same problem. i have mine long but u need to use the right products on it to stop it going frizzy. sunsilk green is good.

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

Just straighten it. Or get a perm.

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, SOME DAYS I STRAIGHTEN MY HAIR AND SOME DAYS I WEAR IT CURLY. I STARTED USING THAT NEW SHAMPOO SILKLESS( I THINK) AND THEY HAVE A SHAMPOO FOR FIZZY HAIR IT REALLY WORKS ON ME. TRUST ME IF I DON'T USE IT I CAN TELL THE DIFFERENT BECAUSE MY HAIR LOOKS AFRO.

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

I have the same texture of hair. I choose to have mine almost to my waist, but still it is wavy (not the good wave either) and kinda dry, yet still incredibly thick. I have chemically straightened my hair (the one at the drug store, yes it was scary the first time), once a year and use Biosilk Silk Therapy for the dryness. I also bought a really good straightening iron from the cart at the mall (yes, really), Now I have the good wave, I still have body and when I straighten my hair it looks like I have staight hair not the poofy, look she straightens her cury hair look.

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

It depends on what you like. If you like long hair, you could grow it long and see how it looks. If you like short hair, that would be super cute to do also! You may want to visit a local beautician and see what she would suggest for your face shape. Layers in your hair can make a huge world of difference as well!

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

if you don't like curly hair grow it long and straighten it, but if you like curly hair get it done permanently

Naturally Curly hair I hate, you?

I have the same hair type as you do. I would let it grow. mine is long, and it looks like a million times better than it did when it was short. The Bible says your hair is your glory, don't cut it.

Good, cheap hair salons in Toronto / GTA, especially for curly hair?

Anyone know of a hair salon that is good and not too overly expensive (less than $40 for medium - short hair)? Does anyone know of a place where I can find someone who understands and can work with curly / wavy hair?

I have been to various salons over the years, and most just give me a very basic cut and suggest I straighten my hair for the best results. I have been straightening my hair for some time until recently when I decided to let my curls rule again! This is what Mother Nature gave me; I might as well embrace it ;)

Good, cheap hair salons in Toronto / GTA, especially for curly hair?

Depending on how curly your hair is, I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for. I have African hair so I've got some seriously curly hair. I usually go to Ruby's Hair Salon on Keele and Finch. They're so nice there, and it's a family buisness. They know what they are doing.

Good luck!

Very curly hair HELP?

i have very curly hair it comes about 3 inches past my sholders and i try to put gel and other things in it but a few hrs later its just as frizzy as if i had done nothing ! any ideas ??

Very curly hair HELP?

use a good conditioner. you may want to try a different gel as well. apply the gel as soon as you step out of the shower and comb...not brush.

Do not shampoo daily...it takes the natural oils from your hair and curly hair is more dry anyways so you don't want that!

i have tried all of the frizz serums and they are a waste of money. Have you tried mousse? it's ok...use it the same as you would gel.

I use sebastian's potion 9. it is a leave in treatment and it works as a gel as well. and it's not sticky. you shouldn';t use a lot though. too much can make your hair stiff! good luck!

Very curly hair HELP?

well use the japanese straihgting thing lots of black women use it beside nothign wrong with curly theres this girl name claudia at my school she has curly hair and she looks good

Very curly hair HELP?

Just put hairstyles in that fit your hair my best advice is to read up on it and find out what cute hairstyles still look good with your hair

Very curly hair HELP?

umm i have really curly hair too. whenever i get out of the shower i put a lot of mousse, and products like that to help tame curly hair. then i let it dry and it's still curly but not as much. i put a little more mousse when its fully dried and then i get my flat iron and straighten my hair a bit.. not fully but just so that it looks wavy/curly and not like ringlets.

sorry if that sounded confusing! just go to the stores, and look for products that say tame curly hair, and non-frizz etc. i would advise you not to use gel.. it gets so sticky and makes your hair so rough. anyways, good luck!

Very curly hair HELP?

they have chemical straighteners that work really well on hair, they sell Them at sally's

Very curly hair HELP?

I have the same problem!! I use Redken for curly hair, also Redken moisture for ur ends. %26amp; A cheaper product is I believe citre stuff it's orange gel-like. I use a lil when hair is damp then when I dry it I use a lil on my ends. But don't blow dry it as much or wash as often!

Very curly hair HELP?

I have very curly hair and for the longest time I used all kinds of products to keep my hair from being frizzy until I finally found Sebastian Wet. Try it and see if it works for your hair.

*~hope i've helped~*

Very curly hair HELP?

I know exactly how you feel - it is very difficult to control!

The best way I have found though, is to use Frizz Ease serum on the ends only, when hair is wet after washing and conditioning. Then I use Pantene smooth mousse all over. Try and let it dry naturally, or use hair drier with the diffuser on. Then anti frizz hairspray, and leave it at that. if you put more stuff on, the hair just gets gunky!

Very curly hair HELP?

Dont touch it. whe you put the product in the worst thing to do is to touch or play with it. If you wanna leave it curly try moouse. but if you want to straighten it get a really good profetional straightener. good luck beautiful.

Have fun

Very curly hair HELP?

I have had the same problem before with my hair. Currently, I use a smoothing shampoo and conditioner. I comb the conditioner through my hair in the shower and towel dry afterwards. Also, I would suggest using a stronger holding gel- usually on the front of the bottle it'll say something like "strong hold." What has also worked for me is talking to the sales associates at the beauty supply stores, most of the time they know what they're talking about. I also use a smoothing serum on my toweled dried hair, it helps with the frizziness. I suggest trying different hair care products that are on the market and finding what works best with the style you are going for. And sometimes no matter what you put in your hair to tame it the weather can always undo your do. Hope this helps, best of luck.

Very curly hair HELP?

Well, If you are open to spending just a bit, there's this great product from DuWop and it helps control your hair and frizz, and it's a great when your hair really needs a little controlling. 1.7 o bottle cost 16.50. Besides, embrace your curly hair!!!

Very curly hair HELP?

i use frizz ease from john frieda ( they also have a whole line for curly hair)

currently im using worthington ( moisture lock ) shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner ( bottles color is orange)

good luck

Very curly hair HELP?

me too try garnier frutis it helps. they have different types for different types of hair. HOPE IT HELPS :^)

I just got curly hair perm like 2 weeks ago?

It's very tangly that I cant comb it with the wide tooth (the one you're supposed to use when you have curly hair) ...what can i use so that I wont damage my hair and easily be able to do my hair without having trouble.

I just got curly hair perm like 2 weeks ago?

Since you have perm your hair you have to be extra careful to it. I recommend if you don't want to damage your hair and able to comb it, then first when you wash your hair, use a conditioner and gently comb through it. keep on combing until your hair is not tangle anymore, and wash it with lukewarm water(not cold water because cold water makes your hair straight)after you finish, don't rub your hair with the towel often, because that going to make it tangle again, so just pat it lightly. Finally, when your hair is dry, comb again.(keep in mind don't comb your hair tooo too much, causes split ends) Good luck I hope my advice helps, and having curly hair is not an easy thing.

I just got curly hair perm like 2 weeks ago?

hi, i had permed hair before, i used my fingers to gently comb through my hair, than i crunch up e curls with hair mousse and leave in conditioner. this will make e curls last longer.

I just got curly hair perm like 2 weeks ago?

Well, that's usually what perms do, they also make your hair frizzy. Use conditioner made for permed hair and run your fingers through it, after getting out of the tub. Let it dry and then pick it out. You can use moose to keep the curls in and it won't be so frizzy.

I just got curly hair perm like 2 weeks ago?

make sure your leave in conditioner doesn't contain too much alcohol and maybe just buy a wider tooth comb or pick

I just got curly hair perm like 2 weeks ago?

dosnt purm dammage ur hair.

I just got curly hair perm like 2 weeks ago?

sounds like it could be dry. use lots of conditioner and serum should be easier after that

I just got curly hair perm like 2 weeks ago?

Give your hair a relaxing hot oil treatment. Use a not very strong conditioner. After taking a bath while it is still wet, comb it slowly (you should be very patient with this one) if there are tangles comb it very carefully so that your hair would not be damaged. comb it until it dries. You will see, no frizz, no damage and it is soft and silky.

I just got curly hair perm like 2 weeks ago?

Iv permed my hair plenty of times.

i was advised not to brush or comb, but to just use your fingers as a comb.

Invest in a good leave in spray conditioner and use this to ease down the frizzy bits. i use avons "shine spray".

it takes out frizz and adds loads of shine. it makes hair look really healthy and glossy. (this isnt a conditioner)

Only ever brush or comb your permed hair before bed, no-ones gona c it wen ur in bed! ! !

I just got curly hair perm like 2 weeks ago?

Choose a round, bristle brush if you have curly or wavy hair that you blow dry. Remember that the wider the brush, the straighter your hair will be when it dries.

Use a boar-bristle, round brush if you blow dry your straight hair. This brush will shape and smooth your hair. Choose a brush with a smaller diameter for added volume

Use a pick on curly hair to separate curls without causing too much frizz.

Working with fine, curly hair?

My hair is fine and frizzy curly, and is getting thinner all the time. I know I shouldn't be washing it every day, but every morning, it looks greasy because of the product I put in my hair. It's a vicious circle, the more product I use, the more I have to wash it which dries it out more, and then I have to use more product. I was wondering if anyone knows how to end this! Are there any lightweight products that won't weigh down my hair and make it look greasy but still tame the frizz?

Working with fine, curly hair?

Though there are many causes of of frizz, it occurs when the hair's cuticle (it's outermost level) becomes "roughed up". Normally, the hair's cuticle is smooth. A smooth cuticle will appear shiny and leave hair tangle-free. When the cuticle layers are roughed up, the strand becomes dull, prone to tangles, and creates the dreaded condition known as frizz.

Frizz can be prevented simply by using the proper shampoos and conditioners. Most hair problems can be remedied by switching to the right products. Shampoos work by opening up the cuticle layers, releasing dirt and residue caused by pollution, and build-up caused by styling products. For the cuticle to be opened, a product must have a basic pH (by basic, I'm referring to the opposite of acidic. If it's not an acid, it's a base. You remember that from science class, don't you? Of course you do...). Conditioners work by re-sealing the cuticle, and should have an acidic pH. Many store-bought products have a pH that is too harsh for many hair types. If you must use store-bought, look for shampoos that claim to be "hydrating", these products will help hair maintain a healthy moisture balance. Try to avoid over-shampooing, as this will contribute to making hair dry and over-stressed. By shampooing every other day, and using a good, professional conditioner as needed, you'll be on your way to shiny, healthy, beautiful hair.

Humidity is also prone to make hair do strange things. Your hair is very sensitive to moisture. You may have noticed how youre hair appears frizzy on humid days. This is because your hair (which is dry and in need of moisture), becomes "thirsty", and it will try to absorb the water molecules in the air.

Another way to avoid frizzy hair is to let your hair air-dry as much as possible. Heat damage is a major cause of frizz. Never, ever, blow the hair completely dry, and when it comees to choosing a blow dryer, more power does not equal better results. 1600 watts is plenty! In the salon, we use the blow-dryer to remove about 90% of the moisture, leaving the ends (which are sensitive) slightly damp. On hair that is likely to frizz, I recommend using a large-barrel curling iron or straightening iron to smooth out the hair. By smoothing hair that is slightly damp with a large iron, it becomes similar to the way an iron removes wrinkles from clothing.

Whether you air dry, blow-dry, or curl your hair, the benefits of using a smoothing serum can never be overstated. There are many products out there to smooth frizz, and they come in many forms, such as liquids, gels, waxes, pomades, and creams. Smoothing serums, which look like clear, syrupy drops, usually contain silicone, which smoothes the cuticle and gives tremendous shine. The downside is that using too much product at a time can make hair look and feel greasy. A few drops will be enough for even the longest, thickest hair. I prefer products in a gel form, since most people have a good idea on how much product to use. My favorite is a product by Graham Webb called Stick Straight. It was developed to temporarily remove curl from the hair, but I find it works wonders on long straight hair, men's hair, and ethnic hair types. I apply a small amount to damp hair, then blow it dry. After curling, I emulsify a small amount of dressing wax by vigorously rubbing it in the palm of my hands. Then i smooth down any fly-aways or frizz. Instead of wax, you can use a grooming cream or liquid smoothing serum. My preference for a wax is a pomade called Hair Play by KMS. Another good wax is Back-to-Basic's Green Tea Dressing Wax. For those of you who prefer drops, try Glass by Redken. By smoothing the hair in the fashion I have just described, you can attain that stick straight sleek look, as worn by celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Selma Hayek, and Cher.

For those people blessed with curls, apply a frizz-control gel evenly through damp hair and leave air-dry or blow-dry with a diffuser attachment. A good gel to use is Control Freak by TIGI. It also has a great smell to it, as most of their products do.

Keep in mind that hair should be trimmed every six to eight weeks to remove dead ends. While split ends, technically known as trichoptilosis, differ from frizz, they can also make otherwise nice hair appear fuzzy, dull, and lifeless.

Working with fine, curly hair?

okay well, I have this product and it works really good. Its kind of like a leave in conditioner but its not. Its called Pantene anti-frizz serum and you put it in your hair when its wet, it doesn't leave it greasy and it tames the frizz.

Working with fine, curly hair?

U NEED 2 GO 2 A HAIRDRESSER ASAP.IF U WANT 2 KEEP YOUR HAIR FROM FALLING OUT.

Curly hair question.?

Ok im black and white so whenever i try and wear my hair down curly, it always seems to shrivel up and not have that wet look. Ive tried everything, does someone know of a product i can use that may keep it looking nice?

Curly hair question.?

I also have curly hair, so I know how difficult dealing with it can be. When I want to wear it down, I towel dry it, then I blow dry it on low just so that it doesn't frizz. Then I put in Aveda Brilliant shine spray, it gives it that nice, healthy shine.

Curly hair question.?

l'oreal springin curls moose

Curly hair question.?

try Tresemme's products, they never fail but if that doesn't work out Aussie's always good for a try

Curly hair question.?

If you braid your hair the night before that should help keep it from shriveling. Also I used a moisturizer (shea butter). I put a little Lotta Body in my hair and it holds any style.

Curly hair question.?

for make it look wet ,, i scrunch it with a lot of mouse and haispray ,, it really works

How do you manage your curly hair?

i have curly hair like this:

http://images.jupiterimages.com/common/d...

my curls are extremely tight and course, like in the picture, maybe even curlier, but my curls are very frizzy and undefined.

how do i get my curls like the picture?

what products do you reccomend, and if you have curly hair(as curly as mine) what do you do to define them and keep them frizz free all day? i already use a great shampoo and conditioner, so no problems there, but i just can't style it nicely.

thanks in advance!

How do you manage your curly hair?

i use an antifrizz serum and it works great. you can get it at any drugstore.

How do i get curly hair fast?

I want curly hair for tomorrow, i'm going to a funeral and i want curly hair, my hair dosent stay with a curling iron and i hate using curlers and it dosent scrunch well.... any have any ideas?

How do i get curly hair fast?

Buy the straightner / curler / crimper / spiraler iron. It's an all in one tool and it's amazing. Truely, I think they're the best. You can get one almost anywhere. Wal-Mart, Shoppers Drug Mart, etc. Just not the 99 cent store! ;)

-Good luck finding your answer though. ;)

How do i get curly hair fast?

well, my sis wets her hair, puts mousse in it and leaves it in for about 1 hr. then blow-dry (not too much or else it'll get frizz) and ull have curly-wavyish hair.

How do i get curly hair fast?

Buy curling iron from ION at Sally's. I use it on clients and i'm done in 15 minutes. It's at least 40 dollars

How do i get curly hair fast?

well take a shower at night and once out of the shower apply mousse in your hair then put two high tight buns on the sides of your head securing them with bobby pins then in the morning take them out and finger comb your hair then put hairspray
