How to get a haircut with Curly Blonde Surfer Hair (its getting bushy)?

Alright, I have the kind of surferish blonde curly hair look going, but the thing is it is starting to get too bushy and curly, and not like the neat kind of surfer blonde curly hair. I do the look alright when I put hair gel on, but the last time I got a haircut the lady totally screwed up my hair and made it so short and ugly I feared getting another haircut again for months.

Its been three months since my last haircut. What should I tell the hairdresser so that I can maintain the legnth and style of my haircut, while cutting out the bush (last time I said something like that, she asked me all these individual questions and my haircut was awful!)

How to get a haircut with Curly Blonde Surfer Hair (its getting bushy)?

Just ask her to THIN it. Then you could use "frizz-ease" to calm the bushiness down.

Then, once you find someone you trust again, STAY with that stylist!!!

BTY, guys with long hair TOTALLY ROCK!!!

Tell her that you just want your dead ends off %26amp;%26amp; to **thin** your hair out a bit, and that you don't want to lose length.

How to get curls/waves in ALREADY thick/curly hair?

I have very thick hair that is naturally curly (sometimes it reminds me of the 80s looks). I want to wear my hair down for an event and want it to look good. Mousse leaves it greasy looking and not exactly what I want it to look like. If I want hair that looks like these pictures what do you think would be best?

http://www.oceleb.com/img/hilary-duff/hi... I'm thinking if I straighten it then use curlers or a larger curling iron it might work without going crazy. What is your suggestion? I've looked but it's difficult to find out how to curl already curly hair (if you get what I'm saying). I know I have plenty of wonderful body in my hair to pull off the look...it's just that the hair often goes crazy or the curls go away and I'm left with thick/poof hair. PS My hair is a bit past my shoulders and I have shorter side bangs.

How to get curls/waves in ALREADY thick/curly hair?

I have hair just like yours. What I do is exactly what you said. You'll need to blow dry your hair straight FIRST and then use a wide curling iron or rollers. Use a little smoothing gel and spray gentle when you have the look you want.

But I would go and have someone to do it for you if you can and bring the pics with you. It's tough to do the back on your own. Good luck. I bet you'll be gorgeous. Go curls!

How to get curls/waves in ALREADY thick/curly hair?

But they all pretty much (minus a couple) sound good. I dunno. Thanks. Report It

How to get curls/waves in ALREADY thick/curly hair?

Dont use an iron.

Use large rollers.

How to get curls/waves in ALREADY thick/curly hair?

take a shower. brush your hair out with a comb. Then scrunch your hair. That's how you get the waves. Or you can dry your hair with a drying straightener then scrunch it when its still a little wet.

How to get curls/waves in ALREADY thick/curly hair?

omg, i love avril lavigne she is so cool

i'm with a sk8ter boi i said see ya later boi he wasn't good enough for lalalalalalalala

lol

How to get curls/waves in ALREADY thick/curly hair?

Don't straighten and re-curl your hair. You already have curls (lucky girl!!) so you need to learn how to work with them and reduce your frizz. Aveda has a line called "Be Curly" which should work well for you. Their Brilliant Humectant pomade would also keep your curls but get rid of the frizz. Check out the links below...

How to get curls/waves in ALREADY thick/curly hair?

-Read the book and visit the site below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser, butterfly clips, and a microfiber hair turban.

-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent. They dry out curly hair.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. For looser curls it is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.

- I really like the garnier fructis products. Aussie products works great too, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the website. Frizz-ease hair serum is amazing for fighting frizz.

- This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least the website. Hope this helps!

How to get curls/waves in ALREADY thick/curly hair?

Straighten your hair with an iron or blow dry straight after washing.(blow drying curly hair will make it wavy)

How to get curls/waves in ALREADY thick/curly hair?

I have curly hair as well. When want to wear it curly but not my natural curls I use a spiral iron and go over my natural curls to define and loosen them.

How to get curls/waves in ALREADY thick/curly hair?

I have very curly hair too.. When I want a softer curl I wash it then put a sylicone lotion on, rap it back up in the towel until I finish putting my make-up on. Then blow dry it as straight as I can get it, then I take medium sections of hair and use a large curling iron on it.. It turns out to be soft curls.. Good luck

Blowdrying curly hair?

My hair is naturally curly, and when it dries it gets a little poofy and frizzy...i dont like to straighten it, but how could i style it quick with a blow dryer? =D thanks alot, and anyother suggestions are appreciated too =) have a fantastic rest of the day!!!

Blowdrying curly hair?

Always use the defuser and some anti frizz stuff like Bio silk.

Blowdrying curly hair?

i have poofy hair, but i use Aussie mousse/leave-in conditioner on wet hair, and it reduces the poof. don't ever blow dry your hair without something like a protectant, or a diffuser.

Blowdrying curly hair?

don't blow dry curly hair if you don't have a diffuser. What you can do is let it air dry and scrunch your hair. What you do is

Wrap your hair in a small towel. Don't rub your hair at all with the towel. Comb your fingers or a wide-tooth comb through your hair and make a part as best as you can.Spray hairspray in your hair. Put it near the middle and bottom of your hair. Put gel in your hands and rub them together to spread the gel. Grab a small handful of hair by the ends and push it up toward the head. Hold it in place for a few moments while aiming the hair dryer at it to 'set' the gel/mousse/hair spray. Repeat this all over your head, reapplying the gel every time. Keep in mind that small handfuls yield tighter waves and large handfuls create full, loose waves.

Also leave in conditioner will often tame frizz as well as john frieda's frizz ease products.

If you want it straight you could use a blow dryer use a heat protectant!! Pin up the top section of your hair and use the round brush to blowdry your hair. Hold the hair sections out taut and point the hairdryer down to dry it. Do this section by section, so that your hair is completely dry. You may want to then dry up the hair, from the neck to the end of the strands. This makes it easier to get the hair on the back of the head.

If you have decided to use a hair straightener, put your hair into sections again, and run over your hair with the straightener. You can use a shine spray in the end.

Blowdrying curly hair?

Dear Whoever Wrote This,

I am sorry, but I have, like, short term memory loss and I forget your name and I am too lazy to go check. I have super curly hair as well and so does my friend. I hate it soooooo much when my hair is poofy, but its life. (have you tried FrizzEase???)

What I do is comb my hair while I am blow drying and comb it in to the style I like. Or... some advice... braid your hair at night and it is soooooo much easier to manage in the morning. So... Good Luck Fellow Curly Head!!

Toodles,

Serena

Blowdrying curly hair?

OOH! I love your question! I have curly hair too. I agree that it gets VERY poofy.=D But I use a special shampoo by Herbal Essences called "none of your frizziness" I don't really notice a change, but I use it anyway.

I do blow dry my hair, and I flat Iron my bangs, (If you don't have bangs, just flat iron the front part of your hair.) I put the rest behind my ears, or if it doesn't fit, i put it behind a headband.

Then I use a leave in conditioner, or a shine serum (don't use too much, it will make your hair greasy) I recommend the shine serum and leave-in conditioner from Garnier Fructis. It eliminates poof and frizz. I also use hairspray, and I brush it through to make it smooth (It helps with the frizz, but you don't have to use it.)

I hope my advice helps! =D

Blowdrying curly hair?

If you don't have a diffuser, then invest in one, you can get a nice one for under $20 at Sally Beauty Supplys nationwide and some that would even fit the blowdryer you already have. Try using gels that contain NO alcohol like Softee, Proclaim and Ampro protein styling gels, these are cheap but good (availabe at Sallys, walmart, doller stores etc.), they are brownish in color but will not stain anything. Alcohol in any form is very bad for your hair, it will dry it out and cause more damage and frizz in the long run then it controls short term. Do not use mousse, mousse will make your hair frizz more.... the only people who should use mousse are those who WANT to have poofy hair. Also try a good glossing polish/frizz eliminator like Proclaim Glossing Polish (available at Sallys also for about $6) or Garnier Fructeise also carries one but the Proclaim is much better and will last longer. When blow drying use a medium or low setting unless you are using a diffuser. You can try putting your fingers across the blowdryer to make an impromptu diffuser until you can get one. Also have your hair trimmed regularly, atleast every 12 weeks. The average person grows 1/2 an inch of hair in 4 weeks so if you trim off about 1/4 of an inch every 10 - 12 weeks you can grow your hair out if you want and at the same time keep the dead and dry ends off and that will help lesson the "poofyness" alot. try using a smoothing shampoo and conditioner, they won't take out your curl but will help hydrate them and make them lay better. Take a good multi-vitamin and massage your scalp on a daily basis, these will help your over-all scalp and hair condtion.

People are just jealous to see that you are unique so why bother them?? Leave your hair as it is and remember to appreciate yourself. Look! We are individuals!

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

if u thing u can do something or u cant do it any way u r right

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

you think you are too honest...........Be honest with yourself .....do you like the way you look or not? ...What others opinions have to with that?

Anyway what's wrong in givin' it a try if your close friends think

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

I have curly hair and sometimes I straighten it.But the natural is most beautiful and I hate to straighten all the time because I can't do it myself.I always call my friend to do that for me.

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

No, your hair is nice, I have naturally straight hair and many people told me to curly my hair, but I not listened them.

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

get a hair straightener so you can straighten it and leave it curly sometime too!

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

You are looking cute in this hair. So don't get disturbed be stick to as you are. You are beautiful and gorgeous. Don't play with your hairs.

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

Don't straighten it...leave it be. Enhancing the curl will keep it healthier and you don't want to risk damage as natural curl is very easily damaged.

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

I'd say keep it curly. I have naturally curly hair as well and it's a major pain to straighten. Not to mention, depending on how you do it, you can really fry your hair and it's not fun to grow out damaged hair, especially since curly hair takes longer to grow. Plus, in the summer, it's better to leave your hair curly since straightening it means losing moisture which leads to the dreaded frizzies....

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

depends on what YOU like

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

Hi I'm a guy with natural curly hair. I used to hate my hair, my brother and sister both have straight hair. I wished that I had hair like them. So I was working at the local supermarket, and this lady say to me; I love your hair, is it natural? Yes it is I said. Well you are very luck say said, because she has to go to the salon to curl her hair. Well the moral of the story be happy with what you have, cause other people may have less.

And who care what people says the style is, this is about you and not them, and relaxing your hair will be a big mistake(I did it once, not a good idea, won't do that again)and curly hair is always in.

I have naturally curly hair but my friends think i should straighten my hair. What do you think?

dont do it I did it and I regret it now

Hair Styles for long black curly hair?

I have long, really dark, curly hair. I got side swept bangs to straighten and my braces off so I really want a cute hairstyle that will still let me use my bangs to make me look different. Thanks, plz help!!!

%26lt;3 Kelsey

Hair Styles for long black curly hair?

Part your hair on the side. and have your bangs facing the other way. Like a part on your left side and your bangs on your right side. That's what mine is. I really like it. Put it up in a pony and still keep your bangs to the side. Pink tails, low ponies on one side. Ya that's all I can think of. GOOD LUCK!

Hair Styles for long black curly hair?

there arent many things you can do with curly hair

straighten it

Hair Styles for long black curly hair?

I HAVE LONG CURLY HAIR AN I LIKE TO PUT A HUMP AN THE BACK DOWN WITH THE BANGS ARE A SWOOP

Hair Styles for long black curly hair?

i have curly hair to. i like to keep it down and curl my top layer of hair then keep my bangs down i go for more of a vanessa hudgens look if you know who she is and sometimes i put a pump or i straighten it

Hair Styles for long black curly hair?

Long hair of any color or texture is not worn stylish because the length will limit your choices of styles. If your hair is beautiful, lots of body and shine, just wear it loose and smooth the curls to a wave. Otherwise, get a nice cut. Look in hair magazines and take a picture to a hairstylist you trust. Not to put you down, but the movie stars and tv stars are wearing medium to short hair.

Wavy/curly hair trouble!?

i have natrually wavy, slighty curly hair. the proble is i dont know how to keep as wavy as it is wet when i dry it. ive gelled the hell out of it before, but im looking for a lighter, more natural way to keep the waves. its also very thick.

thanks guys!

Wavy/curly hair trouble!?

Try going to bed when your hair is wet. It's always a lot wavier when I do that.

Wavy/curly hair trouble!?

try rubbing a little jojoba oil in it.

Wavy/curly hair trouble!?

I would try moouse. I have curly hair and it works for me without being too hard.

Wavy/curly hair trouble!?

I use the sunsilk, it works very well to contain your curls. Also, you might talk to a stylist about a haircut that controls your curls.

Wavy/curly hair trouble!?

going to bed with ur hair wet really does work!!!! then use a spray in conditioner to control the curls and make them look silky!!!!

Short curly hair?

i have really long thick, curly hair and i dont like it it always get frizzy. i want to cut it about to my shoulders and thin it out so it will not get frizzy.. or will it? and will it be easy to straigten? well i need some help.

here is a pic.. im on the left.

%26lt;a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"%26gt;%26lt;img src="http://i8.tinypic.com/4yj4ghd.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"%26gt;%26lt;/a%26gt;

Short curly hair?

I have the same issue. My hair is shoulder length, and not only does my stylist layer my hair but she also uses thining shears to get rid of some of the bulk of my hair (I have so much of it that I actually use to get headaches). I keep my hair curly, I personally like my curls, but if I wanted to straighten it I would just use a straightening iron and it works just fine for that day. The way my stylist cuts my hair helps keep the frizz down a lot, but it helps to use a shampoo/conditioner for curly hair, or even for permed and color treated hair. I use matrixs curl life and it does a wonderful job. If you are wanting something cheaper suave makes a shampoo for curly hair that works pretty good too. I hope this helps you out.

Short curly hair?

I think it's a good Ida

Short curly hair?

idywoldsong has good tips. Remember you must condition, condition, condition.........After you shampoo and condition put in a leave in conditioner. Don't towel dry. Diffuse or air dry only. Sunsilk has a leave in and a gel all in one. Also it's very expensive but WEN makes good conditioners for curly hair......sweet almond milk. It'll frizz whether you keep it long or short but a good hair cut makes a difference. Call around and find someone who can cater to your hair. Also look at other people with curly hair like yours and ask them where they get it done and what products do they use. Frizz Ease wind down relaxing cream plus gel works really well. Just don't put it on your roots. Sauve coconut conditioner works really well too. Also, after you condition comb your hair with a wide tooth comb and then put in the leave in.

Short curly hair?

Cutting it might not help, it sometimes depends on the type of texture your hair has. Curls are almost always going to frizz out, changing your conditioner to something that hydrates or is made specially for curls (The herbal essences "totally twisted" and "hello hydration" are my personal favorites) might be better than cutting it up completely.

But also with curls getting it trimmed every 3 months or so makes a big difference.

Good luck!

Crazy curly hair!?

I've always had really curly hair and always struggled with it. Just in the past few years I've come to accept it and learn about the right gels and shampoos and conditioners for it. It's really really long now and I'm looking for some advice on a cute cut for it. I have a heart shaped face. Any suggestions?

Crazy curly hair!?

straighten it.

you can put it up in a bun

Crazy curly hair!?

If u'r a male, go bald and during the growing up period, take good care of it.

If u'r female, then com'on. Its the 21 century. Go for rebonding. It helps.

Crazy curly hair!?

I have really curly hair too. I straighten it every day. I would keep it long theres so much more you can do with it like...

braid low pigtails

ponytail

messy bun

pull back the hair around your face

pull back the hair on top of your head

pigtails

if you cut it remember it will shrink up

Crazy curly hair!?

I've always had really curly hair too... I've learned to embrace it. I never realized how lucky I am to not have to spend hours curling and straitening! You want fast and easy with no frizz? Get the citre shine miracle serum, it's amazing but don't use too much or it's greasy.. you can get it at like Walmart.. Then use a curl defining mousse, I use herbal essance the purple bottle. After the shower put the serum in and the comb it through do the mousse and scrunch then put it up on top of yoru head and let it air dry in a clip. When it's practicallly dry hair spray the ends to keep from fuzzing... it can be drying while your doing your makeup and getting dressed... sooo easy and then you can do it up in a bun, partially up with ringlets... curls never go out of style!

GUYS: what do like? curly hair or straight hair on asian girl?

yehh that's the question- curly hair or straight hair for an asian girl with long hair?

:D thanks!

GUYS: what do like? curly hair or straight hair on asian girl?

curly hair on asians?! WHAT?! NO! I love asians natural straight black hair. Stay with it

GUYS: what do like? curly hair or straight hair on asian girl?

straight

GUYS: what do like? curly hair or straight hair on asian girl?

Straight for chinese, slightly curly if the features are 'cute'.

GUYS: what do like? curly hair or straight hair on asian girl?

For me it's actually both. I remember seeing this woman's hair. It was straight down to her ears and from her ears down it was curly or crimped or whatever you call it. What I call it is uber sexy.

GUYS: what do like? curly hair or straight hair on asian girl?

I'm half Asian so i should know. a asian girl with curly hair, oh come on. Definitely straight

GUYS: what do like? curly hair or straight hair on asian girl?

It depends. I overall like the straight hair look a lot more, but curly /wavy does not look bad either. Usually on special occasions the asian girls I know like having wavy or curly hair and it looks really really nice on those that are cute. I think straight hair looks hotter, but curly hair looks cuter. Kinda depends on the look you're going for.

GUYS: what do like? curly hair or straight hair on asian girl?

curly doesnt look bad at all!...but all the asian girls i know keep their naturally straight hair, which looks AMAZING...ha i get so jealous of asian hair...so beautiful =)

GUYS: what do like? curly hair or straight hair on asian girl?

Straight is the best, it would also look nice if they had a pony tail from the back i.e. instead of flowing it was made into a long tail (this is possible if the hair is long, if it's short don't bother).

GUYS: what do like? curly hair or straight hair on asian girl?

Straight.

Because it suits them.

:)

GUYS: what do like? curly hair or straight hair on asian girl?

i don't find asain girls attractive sorry.

Hair products for straightening very curly hair?

My hair is naturally curly at the ends, but if cut short will curl at the roots. I have always wanted a scene haircut and it is my dream. But as I have curly hair *sobsob* I cannot get certain haircuts because I am lazy some morning and really don't want to get rid of my natural curl. How can I make curly hair go wavy without going frizzy?

I've got really curly hair that I can straighten easily, and also wear with my natural tight curls. But I don't know how to do loose curls (like keri hilson in the pic). Everytime I dry it naturally (without products that make my hair go very curly), it goes too frizzy, but whenever I straighten it before using a curling iron, the curls just drop straight back out - please help! Thanks

How can I make curly hair go wavy without going frizzy?

Sweetie I have the same problem.... I've tried everything and I've came to conclusion that you have to deal with it curly or you straighten it which takes forever..... there's no in between!!

How can I make curly hair go wavy without going frizzy?

i still like your hair..

My curly hair is soooooo frizzy!?

i wash my hair in the morning %26amp; i don't want to straighten it. is there a way that i can get beachy waves in my curly hairl without any heat?

My curly hair is soooooo frizzy!?

strong hold mousse and hairspray...

My curly hair is soooooo frizzy!?

yup, i do that all the time

just use moose and hair-spray for curly hair

you can find it anywhere

i like the purple herbal essences kind but all of them are good

My curly hair is soooooo frizzy!?

Get silk drops;

You can find them in any store that has hair products

its in a little squeeze bottle;

It makes your hair not frizzy and silky.

My curly hair is soooooo frizzy!?

You should not shampoo your hair everyday, it sucks out all the moisture and makes your hair very frizzy for the rest of the day. I would def. reccomend reading the book "Curly Girl" and fallow it's advice. It will transform your hair, trust me! :]

My curly hair is soooooo frizzy!?

hey i have a great answer 4 beachy waves, it is called salty beach spray, best one is by bumble an bumble. after you spray it untl it is pretty bamp place ur fingres ate the back of you head under the hair and brush it up it dry fast so brush it 4 bout 2 mins and should be basically dry or make ur own 2 tbls of sea salt, 1tbls leave in conditioner and 3tbles spoon water into a spray bottle and use.

My curly hair is soooooo frizzy!?

i have the exat problem. i use sunsilk anti frizz creme. i put it on when my hair is towel dry and it honestly works perfectly. hope i helpedé–³?br>My curly hair is soooooo frizzy!?

although i dont have curly hair, try getting some special shampoo. That should do the trick:)

My curly hair is soooooo frizzy!?

Use a good conditioner on your hair. That is the first step. When your done washing it, you need to put a good styling product in it, then don't touch it! Let it air dry, and that will prevent alot of the frizz from coming back. I have used a few products that really work on my curly hair. One of them is made by Bed Head ( i think!) and its called Creative Genius. It makes my curls very pretty. I also use a product by Redken called Glass. I mix them in my hand together and apply them at the same time. I also learned a great trick from my best friend (who is a hairdresser) that makes my curls really pretty. After I put the products in, I pull my hair back into a loose bun, and let it air dry that way. I dont exactly know why, but I always have much less frizz and wavier curls by doing this. I have to do this in the evenings though, because it takes my hair too long to dry in the morning this way, and I would never make it to work!

Hope this helps you out....

My curly hair is soooooo frizzy!?

Here's the secret...

Before you get out of the shower and turn the water off you first have to:

1. Turn the water on cold and rinse your hair with cold water to close the cuticles. Opened cuticles are the start of frizzy hair.

2. While your hair is soaking wet. Put in 2 quarters worth of "Dare2Be" Glued styling gel. It's in a yellow tube and can be found at Walmart. Do NOT use your fingers to separate your hair like a pick. Separate sections of hair while wet and put in the gel.

3. Start scrunching your curls like no tomorrow while your hair is SOAKING wet. If the excess water is flowing through your fingers, you are on your way! The excess water running through your hair will help the gel get to every strand.

4. Towel dry your hair. If you must use a hair dryer make sure to use a diffuser.

5. Don't wash your hair everyday.

I can go three days with out washing my hair and no one can tell the difference.

Good luck my fellow curly locks!

p.s. also try pantene- Pro-V for curley hair shampoo %26amp; conditioner!

MY curly Hair SUX?

I have curly frizzy hair (medium) , it looks bad, is bad, what should i do? iit starts breaking when straightened,,, is there any homemade (herbal etc. remedy ) for straightening, or for carrying curls look hot???

MY curly Hair SUX?

dont straighten it...curly hair is super dry and youll only make it look worse and drier and more like straw.....get a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. i like herbal essences.. dont use heat appliances on your hair if you dont have too...when you get outta shower, rub your hair gently with a towel and you can put some anti frizz serum thru it (I love John Frieda's formula) and then you can put some gel thru it. chicks love curly hair on a guy, its awesome.. another thing...growing is long is very iffy.ive seen mexican guys do it, but I dont know if itd look right on anyone else.

MY curly Hair SUX?

i personally like boys with curly hair but if u dont like it u can go and get it done in a barber shop

MY curly Hair SUX?

grow your hair out and you can use a straightener... also if you die your hair a dirty blonde and grow out you hair to right above your ears it usually looks pretty hot on most guys

Different ways to tie CURLY HAIR?

I have very curly hair, i have given up trying to straighten it, so could anyone give me names of sites offering diffrent hairstyles for curly hair?

Different ways to tie CURLY HAIR?

I have extremely curly ...everyone tells me it looks sexy down .....go ahead put some leave in conditioner and a lil gel without alcohol..and it will look perfect. Or get Chinese sticks and pick it up in a curly ponytail. Don't use anything from fructise herbal essence....or pantene pro-v ..they make your hair dry and untenable....also pick up in a high pony-tail with big elastic hair tie

Crazy curly hair?

I have wicked curly hair and it drives me insane. I cut it short so tht it doesnt go insane but I am looking for some cute things to do with it. Any advice?

Crazy curly hair?

Well I don't know how thick your curly hair is, but if its as thick as mine-I have cork-screw curly hair-but try using paul mitchelle's styling glaze on it, let it air dry and then put on a really cute headband.

Crazy curly hair?

flaunt it. i do with mine. :]

answer mine please!:

Crazy curly hair?

I can never get the front of my hair to look okay so sometimes what I will do is straighten my bangs and brush them to the side and people really like it. Or pull some pieces back and pin it.

How to have curly hair??

i have straight hair.... and i want it a little curly to add bit of body....does anyone know any good ways to curl hair without using hair curlers? or is it impossible

How to have curly hair??

idk really because im a boy and i have curly hair but i was born with it. so i think that it is impossible to have curly hair without curling it except for being born with it

How to have curly hair??

You could try a curling iron.

or for more wavy hair you could braid it.

How to have curly hair??

it is possible my hair is wavy but somedays i want it really curly so when im done washing my hair i put parts of my hair in little coils and go to bed depending on how curly wash it earlier and use smaller parts when you wake up you either have waves or curls

How to have curly hair??

Wash your hair in the evening, dry them a little with a towel, apply some volume mousse (I prefer Garnier's), then do them in small or thick plaits and go to sleep. In the morning undo the plaits with your hands, shake your hair a little and apply some hair spray. They will look wavy and just great :). Unluckily, it takes much time and won't last for more that a day.

How do i get my curly hair to stay how it is when it's wet?

I'm african american and i have really curly hair. I straighten it even though i shouldn't, but its because I don't like how it looks when its dry and curly. So how do I get it to stay how it is when its wet and curly?

I've tried Garnier Fructis mousse. I dont like it because it makes my hair crunchy(ew) and makes it look shorter.

How do i get my curly hair to stay how it is when it's wet?

you can use marc anthony moose its a yellow bottle its like 8 bucks but its sooo good

=]

i have curly hair too

How do i get my curly hair to stay how it is when it's wet?

Use Garnier Fructis Style Soft Curl Cream-Strong

I use this product and it makes my curls really soft not crunchy.

How do i get my curly hair to stay how it is when it's wet?

Pantene stay in conditioners are great!

How do i get my curly hair to stay how it is when it's wet?

buy redken all soft deep conditioner for your hair and dont wash it out. it will leave your hair smooth and easier to leave curly. you can use the mousse you have but every few minutes you gotta scrunch so it doesnt dry hard.

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair ne

A person has medium-long wavy, curly hair now and wants to get rid of it. He goes to the barber and let the barber cut it all off. Is there a possibility that he will have straight hair next time? Or does he have to blame his genetics.

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

You are stuck with the curly hair! No it won't grow back straight!

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

genetics

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

genetics sweetheart, make friends with a straightener. they work wonders

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

it depends on whats his real natural hair is so if its curly there would be a definite chance it would be curly again...its his genetics

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

It is a chance, but usually when someone has nice pretty curly hair, it grows back naturally curly. Because my nephew has long curly pretty hair and it got cut before and all of his hair grew back naturally the same way before he got it cut.

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

no it wont grow back straight but it willl be curly again

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

sometimes but it has to be done by a professional

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

actually my brother had spiral blond curls, he shaved his head and it grew back straight and its been straight since

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

even if it is full shaven the new hair will emerge curly. curly hair is too beautiful than straight hair

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

i'm so sorry to say that never never never....of course he has to......its run by genetics level :) telling u frankly i had clients which was very curly hair when she's single but when she got married and deliver a baby.....i was so shock when she comes to my salon and had a very straight hair now.

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

Your hair will grow back curly. The follicles, the little holes that your hair grows out of are spiral shaped inside, people with straight hair have straight follicles.

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

Blame Genetics and know that alot of people get perms to get the curls we were born with (I know my sister covets my curls) so grow your curls and flaunt em!!!

If someone has curly hair now and he cuts it all off, is there a chance that he has straight hair next time?

I don't know about going from curly to straight hair, but I do know that as a young child I had stick straight hair, until I was about 12. I started out with longer straight hair, then I cut it to shoulder length, then I cut it really short, like a boy's haircut. I let it grow after that, and put layers in it, and ever since then I have curly hair. Even growing it longer hasn't helped make it straight again. I did go to the salon and have it straightened a few times, but I hate to put chemicals in my hair, so now I have learned to like my curly hair. This guy will just have to live with his curls. Or do what my brother does, have a short almost military butch cut, and it'll be too short to curl. Good luck.

Curly to wavy hair?

i have curly hair and i want it to be more wavy/beachy. i have heard of some products, but most of them have been discontinued. any product suggestions?? or anything else? thanks.

Curly to wavy hair?

I have very curly hair. The best thing I ever did was go to a salon and had them straighten my hair. It was like the reverse of getting a perm the solution even smelled the same. They told me it would take out 30 to 40% of my curl and it did my hair went from curly to a nice wave. But my hair was very long (half way down my back) so it cost me 90 $. if your hair is shorter it should cost less. Also it lasted about 5 months had I went back and had it done again i'm sure I would have had longer results. Its definatly worth a try.

Curly to wavy hair?

garnie fructis... sufer hair! its a spray

Curly to wavy hair?

I used to have the same issue. I grew my hair out longer so the weight pulls my hair down and straightens out some of the curl. I like to use Garnier Fructise Curl-Defining spray. The stuff is kind of waxy feeling and looks like liquid in the bottle, but when you move it around it moves sloooooowlyyyyyyy.

Curly to wavy hair?

Hmmm you could always try scrunching your hair with moose or gel. Don't forget to use anti frizz products along with it though. I've also read something about spraying salt water in your hair helps achieve beach waves.

Curly to wavy hair?

I'm with Megan L.

No.

Curly to wavy hair?

While your hair is drying, comb it out. or; when it is almost dry, blowdry it on hot heat! you don't have to use product, i know this works, i have the same problem! :) good luck!

Curly to wavy hair?

I found a website naturallycurly.com that has been very helpful in answering many questions about our curly/wavy hair. Try putting 10-20 two strand twist in your hair every night. It helps loosen the curl and gives a little more length.

Good luck

Curly, multi-racial hair assistance?!?!?!?

im mixed...black%26amp;white... i have curly hair just past my shoulders. im sick of straightening it everyday. any1 know of any cute styles i can do with it?? i need use gel to keep it from gettin puffy...but i dont wanna wear it the same all the time.

Curly, multi-racial hair assistance?!?!?!?

I have the same background and hair. It's fun to just put some hair serum and mousse in it and let it go wild. The Citre Shine hair serum has been really good for my hair and I also use the John Frieda curly hair mousse. Both pretty inexpensive and found at Target.

Another fun thing to do is put it in a low ponytail and then pull the pony tail over and through the base of your hair. It is elegant but super easy. Accentuate with some nice barretts.

Once I learned to embrace my curly hair, life was good. I literally get out of the shower, put some stuff it in and let it air dry. I get WAY more compliments on it than when I used to spend tons of time straightening it.

French braids are always good too.

Good luck!

Curly, multi-racial hair assistance?!?!?!?

two ponytails, part up part down, umm you know how gwen stefani wheres her hair with the lil hump in da front. well do that but have the sides down.

Curly, multi-racial hair assistance?!?!?!?

i know how you feel i'm mixed with black and native american it's long and frizzy and nappy so i have to get a perm sometimes to make it straight. if your hair is past your shoulders you can put your in a low messy curly bun pinned up or two braided french twist buns on each side of your head.

Curly, multi-racial hair assistance?!?!?!?

I hope this works for you. And if you get a perm, it won't frizz or get all puffy.

Curly, multi-racial hair assistance?!?!?!?

I'm mixed too =]

I like to have cornrows or twisties. Like braid till the center then have the rest curly or straight. Or straighten just a front section (like bangs) the leave the rest curly and put it up.

My favorite to do is: straighten a 1/4" section of hair on both sides in the front, braid cornrows vertically till the center (should be about 4-6 braids) then leave the rest either curly or straight. It looks cute..

Curly, multi-racial hair assistance?!?!?!?

I know how that is... Do the A. KEYS thing and get it braided with beads. It's HOT and it will turn heads. Or just plain braids. Look up black hair styles and see what you love then learn how to do it or get professional help... not just any professional help the best hair dresser in the shop who has worked with hair like yours.

I wanna get curly hair?

the only time i can get curlies is when i braid my hair.since it never works with a curling iron.so do u have any other ideas.i can use to make my hair curly other than braid my hair.

I wanna get curly hair?

OMG my hair is the same exact way. the only way i can get curls is if i cake it w/ hairspray and gel and a braid. well, i was looking for the same thing. a perm would do you wonders. im pretty sure im getting one soon. its a little pricey for longer hair, but it holds for months

I wanna get curly hair?

get a perm...or if you can't do that try a stronger curling iron and get some really strong hairspray

I wanna get curly hair?

~sponge curlers (sleep in overnight or put in wen hair is)**** damp depending on wen u wash ur hair ex-night/ morn)

~get a hair crimper* (never tried it, but i dont like the crimpy look)

~perm** (want a body wave)

~french braid*****

~steam curlers and hairspray (they dont hold the curl unless u set it w/ some hairspray)***

I wanna get curly hair?

Hair salon's

I wanna get curly hair?

You could get mousse and scrunch it and then let it air dry (don't blow dry it)

Or you could get some rollers.

Or apply hair spray before using a curling iron -- that tends to work better.

Or did you ever consider buying a waver?

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=...

they just add waves -- but they look really good.

and don't forget there is always an option of a perm.

but that's a more pernament option.

I wanna get curly hair?

A body perm would work good if you have thicker hair. If not, using curlers overnight would work just fine.

Question about curly/wavey hair...?

I have naturally wavy/curly hair and I have always straightened it or blow dried it straight because I never knew how to make my hair look good naturally....I was wondering what products out there you guys use that you have found to define the curls really well and de-frizz .....I don't like those greasy weird feeling serums though for de-frizzing, is there anything else?

Question about curly/wavey hair...?

this is a question I can definately answer with confidence! I also have wavy/curly hair naturally and I define my curls with the ringlet 07 curl perfector from REDKEN, I use that everyday (work) for a natural look and curl force 17 texturizing spray-gel also from REDKEN for a wet look more for the weekends....I luv these products they do not weigh my hair down at all. I used the crystal curls 06 defining shine gel from REDKEN but it really weighed my hair down so I don't really recommend that. You can get these on a travel size to see if you like them first (and if your hair likes them) and if you do then u can buy the full size, I did that because REDKEN products are pricey.

Question about curly/wavey hair...?

you should use herbal esesences gel and serum and scrunch it %26amp;%26amp; then blow dry it with a diffuser [= Report It

Question about curly/wavey hair...?

I have a very similar problem so I will be checking back on this one! Anyway, I think it starts in the shower and there are some great shampoos/conditioners by Davines. The downside is that they are expensive...you could check em out online to read about them before you purchase because they are worth it. Anywayzzzz sorry I couldnt be of more help!!

Question about curly/wavey hair...?

Well just make sure that you condition really well so you get as little frizz as possible and for curls you can probably use a curling gel I like the curling gel by Garnier and if you have some frizz you can probably tame it down with a little bit of hair spray.

Question about curly/wavey hair...?

I take my showers at night, so I start out the morning with dry hair. I run my fingers through it to get out the tangles, not a brush, because brushing makes it frizzy. Then, I spray it with water and let it dry. I don't touch it while it is wet. When it is dry, I run my fingers through it again and it looks very nice.

Question about curly/wavey hair...?

I wash my hair and condition with a regular shampoo/cond. (Biolage) so I can do my hair straight or curly. I then towel dry it a bit...don't rub, blot the water out. Then I use Redken Ringlet...I put about a pump of it in my hand, then rub it in my hair, then I scrunch my hair. Then let it air dry. I've had the best luck with this method. If I use a diffuser I find it makes my hair frizzy. Then I finish with Biolage hairspray...the one with flexible control. It makes my waves look really nice :) Good luck!!

Curly scene-ish hair . . . ?

My friend has curly hair and wants a scene-ish cut to match her style. Anyone have any ideas? Pictures would be appreciated. :D

oh, and i dont want anything on here about how much you hate scene kids and how we shouldn't be posers and follow the scene and how we should be ourselvs.

thanks :]

Curly scene-ish hair . . . ?

Scene hair isn't really about the cut of the hair, it's about the way it's styled and coloured.

Scene hair originates from Manga styles (japanese cartoons) and is a more punk version of the "emo style" and usually still attributes as a long sweeping side fringe (though not always required.)

Scene hair can be about being yourselves, the aim is to just do what you think looks goodon you!

I found a website for you full of examples:

http://photobucket.com/images/scene%20ha...

When it comes to dye, just think about the colours that suit you best and that you wouldn't mind having in your hair, pink, red, black and blonde streaks and the mose popular colours.

Style:

1. Wash and condition

2. towel dry

3. Use styling mouse or gel to brush backwards

4. Style around your face, have spiky bits at the back if you want.

Finish off with a cute DIY accessory, bow or necklace, such as something from LoveBites and Bruises: http://www.lovebitesandbruises.com

This will show a flair of originality that scenesters try to go for to make them stand out and be original.

Best of luck with it! :)

Curly scene-ish hair . . . ?

Well TRYING to be something you naturally aren't is a sign of insecurity.

I don't like labels at all, they are so pointless, she is trying to be "scene" because she thinks it will make her look cooler right?

My opinion.

But anyways, Choppy layers.

Curly scene-ish hair . . . ?

i have really curly hair and i chopped my hair into a small pixie cut with choppy layers and ive gotten loads of compliments. but it only works if your friend has a heart shaped face. i have pics but their kinda crappy and you cant see much of the hair but ill be glad to show you if you email me at xxlittle.defectxx@yahoo.com

=)

Curly scene-ish hair . . . ?

if your friend has curly hair as in relli tangable %26amp; frizzy she should use mousse when her hair is wet to make it wavy and for scenish i guess this kind of hairstyles would be good

i looove scene kid hair but my hairs curly too so what i would do is get side bangs medium length hair a bit past the shoulders back comb the crown and put a plaid hairband%26amp; get short layers

Hey, curly hair question!?

Okay ,so i have really thick, curly, past shoulder length hair and when i straighten it it appears to be poofy. what are some products i can use to make it 'long and sleek

Hey, curly hair question!?

Mine is the EXACT same.

1. You may want to get it thinned out a little bit.

2. John Frieda Frizz Eaze hair serum (smooths it out)

3. YOu just need to straighten for a longer period of time. It will get flatter and smoother.

Hey, curly hair question!?

My hair really is exactly the same as yours. It takes me a long time to do it. My best advice to you really is to do as less as possible to it until it grows out. If you need any more help or advice with it or anything else please do not hesitate to ask me.

Hey, curly hair question!?

garniar frutis sleek and shine I love it and it smells so good

Hey, curly hair question!?

my daughters hair is just like yours, she also straightens her hair and uses MATRIX sleek look spray, her hair comes out very shiny and smooth. its to be used with an iron smoother.

Hey, curly hair question!?

I have curly hair and the only thing that can make it sleek and straight is my straightener. Its the one some salons use and i bought it at Walmart for $100. But i love it - my hair is straight and no puffyness in 10 minutes.

Hey, curly hair question!?

you can have it treated. they can straighten it out and then you'll just have to maintain it with conditioner.

Hey, curly hair question!?

if you go to the salon and ask them to thin it for you it should help out a lot. you could also consider getting it japanese straightened or something like that, you could still wear it curly just not as curly and it will be MUCH easier to do.

good luck=]

Hey, curly hair question!?

my daughter uses aussie products... and she straightens her hair daily. she uses he shampoo, cream rinse, and some no frizzy gel and uses some spray on conditioner...lol and 1 time a month she uses a hot oil treatment... she has very thick hair and curly. but everyone thinks its straight. child never leaves home with it curly

Hey, curly hair question!?

I use:

Silky Sexy Hair (a hair product)

I use a straightener

I use Pin Strait Hair by Herbal Essences (the hair spray, the conditionar, and the shampoo)

I use None of your Frizzness by Herbal Essences(the hair spray, the conditionar, and the shampoo)

and use a leave in treatment by MATRIX

Hope this helps %26lt;3333

Hey, curly hair question!?

try a frizz control product !

Hey, curly hair question!?

my friend uses relaxer...and then she straitens it :P

her hair is curlyier than mine!

Hey, curly hair question!?

after u wash your hair spray some Tresemme styling spray!

Hey, curly hair question!?

i would also vote for the John Fredia Frizz Ease Hair serum. just put a bit on a fter youve straightened it.

my hair also poofs out at the back and ive found that i have to straighten it in layers and do the back bit loads. then put the frizz serum on.

Hey, curly hair question!?

straighten it and use MATRIX sleek look spray. it comes out shiny and straight and looks like your hair is naturally straight. happy styling! =]

Hey, curly hair question!?

I think curly hair is beautiful. Let me just point out that when someone wants to look seductive or elegant the first style they opt for is curls! Be proud of what you've got. I suggest you read "Curly Girl: The Handbook" by Lorraine Massey. It'll change your way of thinking.

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

ok i want curly hair and i cannot get a perm because my hair changes colors and my mom will not let me, curling it with an iron jsut makes it frizzy like an afro. i dont know what to do but i want them so bad and my hair is as straight as hay im serious. Hair stylers help me what would you do if you me and you wanted curls like really bad and couldnt get a perm.

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

I use a straightener to curl hair (the best one I've used is the GHD it is a ceramic one) You need to grab small pieces of hair spray with hair spray (make sure it's not a super hard type you need to use more of a styling spray) then grab the hair from the roots and on an angle while turning the straightener run it through your hair. it creates fantastic curls that are smooth and don't go fizzy. It can be hard to do it yourself so get someone to do it for you. My best Friend has dead straight hair that when she puts hot curlers in or uses a curling iron they just fall out but I used my straightener to curl her hair for a wedding she was going to and it looked fantastic and it stayed in curls till the next day. The GHD is expensive (well it is in Australia) so if you don't get this one have a look for a ceramic plated thin straightener. www.ghdhair.com is the website to show you where you can buy it. good luck j

ust went on to the GHD website and the latest ghd is even better for curling hair!!! go to the website it shows you what you can do with it.

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

Diffuser + mousse = curly hair

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

ok well wash it in the shower then get it wet..when you get out of the shower braid your hair tightly in little braids.in the morning take it down...

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

you could just get some perm rods or some rollers and put them in your hair without perm solution and put them on wet, let them dry take them down and spray a medium hold spray on them they will stay for the day or two

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

Hot rollers....sponge rollers....Use a defrizzing solution (check out Frizz Ease products) as directed - %26amp; practice!

I have curly hair, altho it looks awesome it's a pain in the neck. I absolutley HAVE to wash it every morning, but when i straighten it I can go 2 days.

Appreciate what you have %26amp; make it your own. Straight hair has its advantages too.

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

In older times ladies would twist their hair with rags(or thin pieces of cloth) and sleep with them in over night. This option has no heat and no chemicals it just takes time.

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

Why don't you try to go to the salon and ask a beautician? Or just let the beautician do the thing for you. Hehe!

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

scrunch your hair with a towel when you get out of the shower. Then when almost dry apply a mousse or curling gel. Then scrunch again with the towel. Blow dry on low setting ,head upside down, and scrunch. Then spray hairspray with head upside down so it gets in all layers, then flip head over, smooth down. and scrunch after spraying once more. scrunch!scrunch!scrunch!scrunch!...and then scrunch a lil more!

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

Get a perm it doesn't have to be super curly you can have it wavy all the way to frizzy so its your choice and it won't hurt your hair as much as curling in for an hour every morning.

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

wash your hair, when the hair is still wet, wrap it in pencils. Don't remove the pencils until all of the hair is dry. The hair will take the form which they have been forced to take. This effect does not last forever, but is nice for a couple of hours.

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

I would use hot rollers....you know the old electric roller set your mom has probably used when she was younger. It can be time consuming but it should work. Or you can use the old foam rollers the night before...don't roll in your sleep or they will be frizzy......I would cover them with a shower cap or wrap a scarf around the back of your neck and tie at your forhead to keep your hair from rubbing your pillow.

PLEASE HELP i want curly hair (guys and girls oppinions)?

my hair is naturally curly but on days i'm too lazy to wash it i make nice tight braids and go to bed with them. in the morning i take them out and spray some water on them and then i use a pick comb to separate it and i scrunch with mousse and hold with extra hold hairspray

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

do you straighten your hair with a flat iron? if so how often? and after you wash it again do you get your curls back or have you noticed you are loosing your curls, and they are getting flatter?

I want to straighten my hair sometimes, and i have curly hair, which i love! but sometimes i feel like looking different, but my fear is that i will eventually lose my curls!! HELP! and thank you =D

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

your hair will always go back just dont burn it with the iron

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

if you straighten it with a flat iron it will be stright but if you want your curls back just wash it

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

first i blowdry my hair kinda straight, as straight as i can get it, and then use the flat iron to make it straight-straight. my curls are just as buxom as before i straightened it. Curls are beautiful. i want straight hair so badly, but it is just so normal and the curly hair is exotic.

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

Yes I have curly hair however it is straightened with hair straightener. All of my life it has been thick curly and wavy. Before I had my hair straightened, I use flat iron every other 2-3 days after wash. No I didn't loose my curls AT ALL. You won't either.

Have fun experimenting new hairstyles!

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

i have curly hair, and i do straighten it some what frequently...but trust me if you take it easy with the flat iron like maybe 2-3 times a week you really don't have to worry about losing your curl. but as a curly haired girl you should know that your curls will be a little less curlier in the winter because of the lack of humidity. but don't over do the straightening because that leads to split ends and then your curly hair will be quite frizzy. so don't sweat losing your curl and go for it !

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

i straight it like 3 times or sometimes more in the week

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

Well, I don't have naturally curly hair but my friend does and she straightens hers once or twice a week. After she washes it the curls look the same as they did before. Just make sure you spray your hair with a protectant spray (I love ion) before. It'll look great!

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

No you will not loose your curls. I have curly hair and I straighten like only on the weekend b/c it takes so long but it does damage my hair. If it's going to rain i can not straighten it will just curl back up. I wish this was true that I would loose them but no only damage your hair.

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

I have super curly hair that i adore. I also like strighting it sometimes. My advice is when you're strightinenig it always apply protection creams to it. And don't strighten it every day, my friend did that and her curls are gone now. When you strighten ur hair do it and don't shower for lik 3 days, it will last! Because too much heat will make ur hair frizzy. ALso always apply finishing serme when done with styling hair. Only strighten it 1 time evry month. Thats wat i do and my curls ROCK!!

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

I have curly hair and do straighten it at least 3 times a week and have done it more often. The curl returns when I wash it. Your curls will return as long as you don't damage your hair and even then it will only be where you have damaged your hair. What grows from the scalp will be curly. Use a CHI flat iron and Framesi Options WIO Straightening Balm and you will not have any worries about damaging your hair and losing your curls. Happy Straightening.....

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

if you have naturally curly hair like me they will porbably never go away! i straighten my hair pronbably 3 times a week. i wash it and the curls always come back. this have been happening for about about 5 years now so you have nothing to be scared of

If you have curly hair please answer!! thanks?

I have curly hair and I am sick of my hairstyle but maybe it'll work for u coz mines grown out a bit.

get layers and ONLY STRAIGHTEN a side fringe. It looks cool with curly hair at the back.

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or so

can u help me or help me with a desison ? my hair is dirty blond. it goes to about my elbows and it dries fast , its poofy and curly . if i cut it shorter and thin it out it will be poofyer and little bit thinner. also easier to manage. it will be shorter and easier to brush and straiten i dont know if i should leave it or cut it , my goal is no poof

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or something.?

I have hair just like that and the only way i can get it straight and not poofy is to flat iron it. You can get your hair thinned but that just gives you more flyaways and frizzier hair. You're right, the shorter your hair is the poofier it is. My advice to you is to get a trim and instead of trying to get y our hair flatter and less poofy you should apply moose to it and embrace your curls by scrunching your hair. The moose will give you banana curls and eliminate the frizz.

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or something.?

Well if your hair is dry, cut it. Maybe just a trim would be goo enough. If you don't want any "poof", try blow-drying your hair and straighten it a little bit while blow-drying to make it wavy. Also put in straightening cream/gel stuff before blow-drying so it doesn't become curly and poofy again after blow-drying.

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or something.?

well you can go to your hair salon and ask to get it razored cut. the razor is used to thin the hair so there's less bulk, and less bulk = less poof. i think they razor the middle of you hair and you'd prolly end up with layers, but i've heard that his razor cut helps a lot. i'm thinking about getting it, but i just got regular layers so i'm still waiting for my hair to grow out. but yeah, ask about it. hope i helped and good luck!

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or something.?

go to the salon and have them chemicaly perm relax it all they do is add perm solution and comb it strait 30-60 $$ it lasts a long time and great results

I have poofy, curly hair and I want thinner wavy hair or close to that. I need a good hair cut or something.?

Mmm...

You can straight perm your hair.

and curl it on occasions or everyday.

Or you can striaght perm it...

Then perm it wavy.

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene

well this professor said the reason why the Irish people like the Spanish people often have naturally curly hair is bc of their small mix of north African in them? So, any time a white person has curly hair, it's bc the tiny bit of black blood they might have in them (even something as insignificant as less than one percent)? It sounds like thats what hes saying. I then said "well Irish people have a different kind of curly hair than black people though". It's true. Black people have nice curly hair and so do Irish, but they have different textures. He said it's bc of only the small amount of black blood in the Irish and thats why their curls are different in texture than black people. I know we all supposedly originated from Africa, but is curly hair really only a trait due to African genes? Ive seen plenty of Germans, Hispanics, etc with curly but "non-Afro" type hair.

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

First, their is no such thing as a black gene. That is not true, hair texture depends on someone genetics. Just because you have curly hair doesn't mean you automatically have black in your family history. All races can have curly hair, genes and traits aren't exclusive to one race. The professor needs to go back to school instead of teaching.

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

just becaue you have curly hair does'nt mean you goT a BLACK GENE AND IF YOU DO SO WHAT?

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

thats total crap and its not true however it may be true to a specific genus of people, where in this case it would be the irish. im not saying it is true just that its possible

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

So I guess if a white person has straight hair, it means they have Chinese in them. Your professor is working in the wrong profession.

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

that professor is a fool

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

I agree also if you're part jewish you have curly hair

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

what? your professor is on the cheech and chong!

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

Not true. Jewish people sometimes have "Jew-fros". They are the coolest thing ever. You might have a little of that in you. Curly doesn't mean you have black in you.

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

Switch classes

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

Actually, I agree with those who say so what. However, I find the subject of our heritage very interesting. If you are really interested on where your family has been and what your make-up is, you might have your DNA tested. With such an Ancestral test, you can find out where your family may have migrated from in the early days of the world.

There are two basic types of DNA tests available for genealogical testing:

mtDNA Tests - Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is contained in the cytoplasm of the cell, rather than the nucleus. This type of DNA is passed by a mother to both male and female offspring without any mixing, so your mtDNA is the same as your mother's mtDNA, which is the same as her mother's mtDNA. mtDNA changes very slowly so it cannot determine close relationships as well as it can determine general relatedness. If two people have an exact match in their mtDNA, then there is a very good chance they share a common maternal ancestor, but it is hard to determine if this is a recent ancestor or one who lived hundreds of years ago. It is important to keep in mind with this test that a male's mtDNA comes only from his mother and is not passed on to his offspring.

Example: The DNA tests that identified the bodies of the Romanovs, the Russian imperial family, utilized mtDNA from a sample provided by Prince Philip, who shares the same maternal line from Queen Victoria.

Y Line Tests - More recently, the Y chromosome in the nuclear DNA is being used to establish family ties. The Y chromosomal DNA test (usually referred to as Y DNA or Y-Line DNA) is only available for males, since the Y chromosome is only passed down the male line from father to son. Tiny chemical markers on the Y chromosome create a distinctive pattern, known as a haplotype, that distinguishes one male lineage from another. Shared markers can indicate relatedness between two men, though not the exact degree of the relationship. Y chromosome testing is most often used by individuals with the same last name to learn if they share a common ancestor.

Example: The DNA tests supporting the probability that Thomas Jefferson fathered the last child of Sally Hemmings were based on Y-chromosome DNA samples from male descendants of Thomas Jefferson's paternal uncle, since there were no surviving male descendants from Jefferson's marriage.

Markers on both mtDNA and Y chromosome tests can also be used to determine an individual's haplogroup, a grouping of individuals with the same genetic characteristics. This test may provide you with interesting information about the deep ancestral lineage of your paternal and/or maternal lines.

I hope this helps and interests you as much as it does me.

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

Its likely. Its a fact that blacks have migrated throughout the world, whether by choice or not.

This is also similar to black people with light colored eyes. They more then likely have some white or other race far back in their genealogical history.

And Jew is not an ethnicity, its a religion!

Somebody said when a white or other non-black person has curly hair, it's bc of some black gene in them?

I have heard a lot of stuff and have studied a lot of different things ... but never that ...

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

I really want to try highlights for the first time but I am afraid this will really dry my hair out since curly hair is already dry. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with this?

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

Keep in mind that the more drastic the hair-color change, the more difficult the coloring job may be. Don't go more than two shades lighter.

At home, color should never be applied from the root to the end in one step. Color should be left on the roots for about 10 minutes, then extended to all of the hair for an additional 10 minutes.

If you highlight your curls at home, be sure to brush the highlight evenly and carefully from the root to the end before wrapping the hair in foil. If highlights are applied too quickly, the hair will not be properly covered. Most importantly, at least one-third of a curl has to be in the foil. "If a curl is fat or tight," Christo says, "and if not enough hair is picked up into the foil, the highlighting will not work properly." The right coloring techniques also affect how your highlights look. Be sure you understand what's needed should you color and highlight on your own.

When highlighting, don't do too much of the hair, and don't highlight near the hairline, Christo advises. It's best to highlight half an inch from the hairline, so if mistakes are made they won't show.

If you want to color or highlight at home to cut down on expensive salon visits, talk to your colorist, says Christo. Ask for advice on shades, brands and techniques. And, he adds, there's some good news about curly hair: It doesn't show the roots as much, so touchups are needed less often. You might need a touchup for single-process color every six to eight weeks. Highlights for single-process color can be redone every five to six months.

To avoid drying out your hair, shorten the application time. "Take the time from the package instructions and reduce that by one-third," Christo says. "Check the hair with a comb; if the color looks good, rinse it out. In the salon I never color for more than 20 minutes and I always achieve wonderful results."

A single teaspoon of olive oil added to a color or highlight right before applying it at home can create healthier conditions for the hair and scalp.

Finally, Christo says, lush curls and waves need attention and regular conditioning. "As long as the hair is healthy, a woman can achieve any color she desires." His salon recommends a silky cream called Deep Therapy Masque, which he applies for 8 to 10 minutes. You can also look for any deep-hydrating product that will keep color-treated hair healthy and full of body.

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

i have rather curly hair and i have highlights in it,it seems to be working fine.

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

I heard that if you have curly hair, that means that your brain is twisted, thats why your hair grows twisted

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

I have curly hair and I have had it high lighted. Just get a good conditioner and you should be fine.

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

i have curly hair- and im always colouring it - i have never had a problem with it being dry..just make sure you get it done professionally 1st time around

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

The bleach will dry your hair some....Just remember to use a good conditioner regularly.

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

I've done it, several times, and I've come to accept that my hair will look like brillo unless I condition it into submission, put all kinds of goo in it, and never be in humidity above 4%. This is either with or without highlights. I love to color my hair, so I try not to heat style, and get them professionally done, that should be less risk to your hair. Should be. Keep it trimmed, and good luck!

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

Highlighting is actually better than dying ur hair..so yea.. highlight is good....

Curling ur hair makes ur hair dry? really? omg! Im actually thinking about doing that! *shucks*

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

i have curly hair and i highlight it. but my secret is called "hair fixer" which is sold at sally's. It consists of 6 blue pills that you mix with a solution and apply to your hair. I swear if you folllow the box's instructions it works as a miracle

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

Anytime you lighten your hair you run da risk of damaging it because da chemicals used to highlight work by stripping color off your hair. If you deep condition on a regular basis and go to someone who is a real colorist, you should be okay without drying or damaging your hair. But stay away from do it urself highlight kits and wannabe hairdressers. Better to pay da extra money and get it done right den 2 have ur hair lookn lyk da scarecrow in da Wiz! :)

Okay 1 more curly hair question....... have any of you ever highlighted your hair?

please go for it

then put your picture up on the yahoo 360 so we all can say it looks great..

smile

just do it

good luck

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

i have long curly hair but cant wear it down with out frizz and i dont have the time to straighten it i need something i can do every morning and wear my hair down with out a lot of frizz and my hair is kind of damged and i want to get it back to normal and wear it down so pleas help and i need something i can buy from a sallys or small hair shop or something i can use from home like a remedie

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

First thing get it cut not short but the ends and in some layers so you can wear it either curly or straight and it won't be frizzy. Then buy frizz-ease serum and blow dry if you want it curly use a difuser and if you want it straight use a round brush and divide into sections while working through with the brush.

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

I used to brush mine while blow drying, but this could cause you more damage unless you get a serum to protect against heat damage. Also, Redken Straight hair gel might be of use to you.

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

GO TO THE BEAUTY SALON

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

First you need to deep condition your hair, apply a cap and let sit for about 30 minutes. Never towel dry your hair, it will only frizz more. Just blot it with a towel. Apply bio silk or serum - frizz ease works real well. Apply it from the roots to the ends then apply mousse while scrunching. You may also need a trim to get rid of some of the damaged hair..

Hope this helps!

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

I have curly hair also...and very thin (which sucks!) anyway, go to a beauty salong where they sell products. Buy Potion number 9 by Sebastian and Biosilk serum. Apply small amounts to damp hair and blow dry straight in medium size sections. I know you say you dont have the time but you won't have to do it everyday. Your blow dry will last about 1-2 days. On the weekends give your hair a break and apply alot of the Potion number 9 to your curls. Also, try using Dumb Blonde shampoo and conditioner. I've started using it and it does wonders! Good luck :)

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

please don,t cut it. just leave it long and curly. Some guys like me, really like it that way. put it in a pony tail if it gets in your way

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

Use Herbal Essences Dangerously straight shampoo%26amp;Conditioner.After you wash it blow dry and apply Suave Sleek Smothing Creame (in an orange tube) to your hair.

How to get my curly hair to lay straight or down good?

Blow dry with a large diameter brush or use a ceramic straightening iron is really the best and easiest way. It lasts a few days. Trim the bad ends. Condition condition condition...

I would love curly hair!?

I have naturally straight, thick hair. But lately I've really wanted it to be curly...which is why I'm thinking about a perm. I've never had a perm before and I don't want to look like a poodle...I just want a very nice(and fake, but natural looking) curl to my hair. What do I tell the hair people?

I would love curly hair!?

since ur hair is naturally straight im afraid you may not like ur hair so much if you "perm" it and thats fairly permanent sooo...... make sure you really want that, and btw have you ever tried just using rollers or curling it with a curling iron?? u should try those first...and if you really must get it permed after that just tell them what you told us! good luck to ya!

I would love curly hair!?

i want a fake, but natural looking curl to my hair ,

please

I would love curly hair!?

i'm sure if you tell them all of what you put into your question, they'll be able to help you out. maybe tell them not to leave in the solution for too long?

I would love curly hair!?

Not all perms turn hair in '80s, poodle hair. Actually most perms nowadays make hair more naturally curly. Tell your hairdresser you just want some natural pretty curls. And it also helps when you show them a picture as well.

I would love curly hair!?

When you go, you can choose a size roller, if you get a bigger size roller, then you wont have a milion little curls.

you can pick whatever size you want, and the girls (or boys) who do hair are really nice, and if you tell them what'd you like i'm sure they can help you! Good luck! :)

I would love curly hair!?

take a picture of what u want...

example...

ps, i love coheed and cambria.

I would love curly hair!?

well a perm could essentially ruin your hair.

maybe you should try scrunching it?

where when you come out of the shower take some mousse and scrunch it up like crumpling paper.

i do it all the time and it make it look like wet crunchy curls

everyone loves it!

and if u do it long enough it will come out superrr curly and pretty!

I would love curly hair!?

perms look nice, a friend at skl got one and it looks awesome

I would love curly hair!?

Try Solar Rollers first-you can roll them so they make spiral curls. If you like this then you can get the perm.Just remember-perm is short for permanent-lol.

I would love curly hair!?

i would like hair! lucky you!
