Curly to wavy hair?

I have very curly hair. The best thing I ever did was go to a salon and had them straighten my hair. It was like the reverse of getting a perm the solution even smelled the same. They told me it would take out 30 to 40% of my curl and it did my hair went from curly to a nice wave. But my hair was very long (half way down my back) so it cost me 90 $. if your hair is shorter it should cost less. Also it lasted about 5 months had I went back and had it done again i'm sure I would have had longer results. Its definatly worth a try.

I used to have the same issue. I grew my hair out longer so the weight pulls my hair down and straightens out some of the curl. I like to use Garnier Fructise Curl-Defining spray. The stuff is kind of waxy feeling and looks like liquid in the bottle, but when you move it around it moves sloooooowlyyyyyyy.

Hmmm you could always try scrunching your hair with moose or gel. Don't forget to use anti frizz products along with it though. I've also read something about spraying salt water in your hair helps achieve beach waves.

While your hair is drying, comb it out. or; when it is almost dry, blowdry it on hot heat! you don't have to use product, i know this works, i have the same problem! :) good luck!

I found a website naturallycurly.com that has been very helpful in answering many questions about our curly/wavy hair. Try putting 10-20 two strand twist in your hair every night. It helps loosen the curl and gives a little more length.

Good luck
